So I am all for a great hair masque or balm, anything to keep my hair looking healthy. And I had to just get my hands on a few products from the latest Garnier Ultimate Blends Haircare range, I gave it go and tired a few product like the shampoo and Conditioner from the Normal hair range and I was impressed.
The Nourishing Repair range is for Dry and damaged hair as its enriched with avocado oil and Shea butter which both have moisturizing abilities, two great ingredients for dry and damaged hair. The range consists of a Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair oil and finally the nourishing repair balm. The balm itself is said to be "creamy balm texture which is tailor made to intensely nourish parched hair". With any hair masque you should use once a week, but depending on the dryness of your hair it is advised to use it twice or more a week or you can leave it longer on your hair before rinsing it out.
I got the nourishing repair balm because I have a normal hair type but I feel once a week your hair needs a good a nourishing and moisturizing hair masque to just give your hair some much needed care. The balm has a great texture and consistence as a hair masque it is thick but is easily applied and worked through my hair, I had no issues with rinsing my hair it did not feel heavy after washing and drying it felt well moisturized.
Garnier is a great brand who have been launching amazing products for many years which are to affordable and great quality. Their products range from haircare, skincare, haircolour and suncare/tanning and I've tried them and loved them all.

I absolutely love this balm. I use it as a deep conditioner and a little goes a long way in coating my 4c hair strands. The coconut smell is strong but not overwhelming. After rinsing it left my hair soft and moisturised. Definitely one of my favourite products of 2016.

I've heard only good things about Garnier's new Ultimate Blends range. The Ultimate Blends range is super affordable and there's a variety of products suited for every haircare need. I picked up this treatment in hopes that it will tame my dry, frizzy ends without making my hair oily.
This 300ml tub retails for about R69.95 so it's inexpensive compared to other treatments. It is enriched with coconut oil (always a winner) and cocoa butter (which gives it a heavenly smell). This product can be used once or twice a week after shampoo (or even after conditioner). You simply apply it as you would a conditioner (from mid-length to ends) and leave it in for 1 to 5 minutes. I leave it in for about 7 minutes and then rinse it out.
The texture is smooth and a little goes a long way. When I first picked up the tub, it looked rather small. However, I noticed that you only need a small amount of product to cover my hair (I have a medium hair length).
I did see a some difference after use. My hair is silkier and there's less knots and tangles. My hair is somewhat less frizzy but I did not see a major difference in frizz - though I'll probably have to use it for a longer period of time. However, my hair is smoother and more manageable.
I think that this is a great product. My hair was more manageable after blowdrying it (blowdrying is usually horrible for someone with frizzy hair). I would definitely repurchase.

Cocoa Butter & coconut - takes away all frizziness (in my hair) if you're in damp weather or by the ocean, as well as increases cravings for sweet delicious things.
The only issue I had was the need to moisturise my entire body with it because it smells AMAZING. I had compliment after compliment after compliment on how good my hair smelt.
In comparison to the Garnier Perfector Oil, this balm has less oily after-effects & because you are only supposed to use it once/twice a week, I used it once/twice every two weeks and I still have more than half of the tub. It helps me when I have my natural hair wave - and it creates a polished look (especially on top with those antenna's - the hairs that have no chill), I used it as a conditioner and left it in during my shower routine (after using the Sleek Restorer Shampoo) and then I rinse it out. I never straighten my hair, but I do blow dry it - and this balm helps me with getting frizz-control.
