Not for me
I bought this in the iced coffee as i couldn't find the loreal excellence iced coffee or loreal castings chocolate brownie both of which are colours i use fairly often with great result! I have highlighted thick hair which is dark! I usually get to the hairdresser to sort my greys which are few but sometimes i sort my own hair! This turned my hair a very dark ash brown with no warmth and left my hair stuff feeling and really dry! I wouldn't purchase this ever again

Garnier Nutrisse Iced Coffee
I was lucky enough to be one of the chosen ladies to receive one of these dyes to test and review.. unfortunately I had some issues at the time and couldn't review it before the deadline.. I am actually quite glad that I have had the time to wait because if I had had the time to review it then, my review would have been different..
While it is a lovely colour and leaves your hair gorgeous and shiny it does not last.. I normally have roots showing very quickly because my hair grows rather fast but instead it seems as if the colour has faded as each day has gone by.. I have had no roots showing whatsoever and my hair is now a little duller than it was before..
Not a product I would use again simply because it doesn't last

Wow, cant believe its been almost 4months since colouring my hair with Garnier Iced Coffee. I know many wont believe this and be somewhat sceptical but I havent coloured my hair since or done any touch-ups yet my hair is only now starting to grow out from this multi-dimensional brown. My roots are much darker and so I now have a subtle Ombre hair vibe. I'm actually very shocked that the colour has lasted this long.

As a new mom a change of hair colour seemed like just what the doctor ordered. Upon mixing the colourant and developer I immediately noticed that the smell was pleasant unlike other colourants that I had tried in the past. Within 40 minutes I had a new hair colour in the comfort of my home! Gorgeous brown with golden undertones,a perfect change to brighten up my face and mood. There is nothing like looking good to boost one’s confidence and this is what this magic in a box did for me. A week later and I am still sporting soft pretty shiny hair! Iced Coffee is my new go to colour!

Before I used Nutrisse's Iced Coffee hair dye,my natural hair colour was blonde. After using the product,my hair had turned a dark brown similar to chocolate.
This was not what I was expecting as I assumed my hair would turn only a few shades darker as opposed to the dramatic changes in colour that occurred. Although I must admit that the box did present warnings that the colour would in fact be dark and shiny.
I am very pleased with the results as it really is a deep, luscious colour and as stated on the box,my hair has not dried out but considerably improved in softness and silkiness, a definite plus I must add.
The Ideal buyer for this product would be someone with light hair and wishes to switch from light to dark chocolate brown. Be warned that if you wish to simply go a few shades darker opt for a lighter dye such as Garnier Nutrisse: Numbers 5.3 [Macedamia Golden Brown] 6.0 [Caramel Golden Light Brown] or 6.3[Sandalwood Light Brown] which all come highly recommended.
The instructions included were easy to understand and simple to follow. Although you might need an extra pair of hands during the application of the dye as you want to be certain you don't leave any section of your hair uncovered and end up with an easter egg themed hairstyle.
My only problem with the product is the lingering smell of hair dye hours after the process has been completed;otherwise it's a thumbs up for Garnier Nutrisse 4.15

I am one of those woman who dyes my hair way too often because my roots of my hair grows grey it is the most annoying thing ever. i have used alot of home tints due to the fact it becomes to expensive. The Nutrisse dye was easy to use the applicator bottle was advanced and helped get to my roots faster and it was so easy to mix. the glove was strong so i did not even need to use my little brush and the waiting period was short. i would use Nutrisse hair color again it is convenient for me with time consuming and very much cheaper. thanks beauty for giving me the opportunity to discover a new product it make life so much easier...xxxJulie

WOW! An at home dye that gives me the results most salons aspire to! Intense, vibrant colour that rivals any glam-STAR! My hair is nourished, consumed with softness and permanently coloured in visible reflecting colour...
Shiny, strong, Shimmering Strands…. It’s definitely GARNIER NUTRISSE ULTRA COLOUR that’s behind my gorgeously coloured mane!
I’ve always been a huge fan of Garnier and their international success. It’s a brand that’s trusted and admired the World over.
Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Colour is exclusively designed to transform darker hair with visibly reflective, intense tones, while providing triple nourishment of avocado, olive & Shea for richer, shinier, silkier hair. Choose from three shade families: Ultra Intense Reds for visibly intense red tones on darker hair, Ultra Lightening Browns to take dark hair up to four shades lighter without the brassiness or Ultra Reflective Blacks to transform even the darkest hair with visibly reflective, shiny tones.
The creamy, conditioning non-drip formula spreads easily through your hair and covers each and every strand precisely so colour results are even from root to tip.
The easy at-home dye does wonders for hair, including:
: Nourishing and achieving healthy looking hair
: Long lasting, colour that looks vivid and shiny
: And up to 100% grey coverage
Now, You must be thinking..HHMmmm, Is this product for me? Well if you want any of the above, then what are you doing still reading this?! Go and grab your new colour from Garnier and start getting noticed.
Now, onto the product in the shade I used: 4.15 ICED COFFEE:
YUMMY! MMmmmmm. Who doesn’t love the fresh aroma of a hot cuppa-Jo or the brilliant depth of its deep, intense colour? With names like this, Garnier is sure to grab the attention of their customers.
The box is appealing and easy on the eye. It’s a brilliant white, green and yellow marriage that gets Garnier noticed and remembered. The front has an extremely happy lady with beautiful, rich coloured hair in the desired shade you’ve just chosen. The back is loaded with useful information regarding the product and its benefits. The back also house a circular perforation, that when pushed in, breaks off to create the perfect holder for your applicator bottle:)these nifty Garnierians taught of everything. On either side respectively are the colour change indicators and safety and allergy test information.
The box contains- a helpful pamphlet that has all the start-up process, safety instructions, mixing of contents, application, conditioning and re-touch information..Pheewww.. Nice to know everything you need to know is on-hand and ready.
-a pair of clear gloves, to be worn through the entire process
-an applicator bottle of crème developer, easily labelled as A
-a tube of nourishing colour crème also alphabetically labelled as B
-a little green nugget container filled with their luscious colour nourishing conditioner
The whole process from start to finish is extremely easy and fun to do. The no-drip formula makes it a quick and simple task that takes minimal effort to acquire extreme results. The colour crème, B is added to the developer, A, already inside the applicator bottle. It does take a little effort to squeeze every last drop out of the tube, but is definitely worth it. Once both A and B are together, the fun begins:D It’s time to shake things up; all the shaking activates the unique chemicals and produces your exciting new colour. I didn’t have the privilege of getting all shaken up as my fine hair calls for only half the quantity of dye. I did some major mixing to activate my crème and developer. My mum though was only too happy to use the remaining half and shake her way through to her new vibrant look.
Once the crème is activated, the top of the applicator bottle easily pulls off and allows the dye through. The bottle is held like a squeezy sauce bottle and applied generously onto dry hair. Once all the dye is applied, a good massage will help to disperse the colour onto every strand. It needs to be left on for a full 25 minutes or in case of extreme grey mileage; a decent 35 minutes will see you looking at your best. After this, it’s time to seal in your new colour. Hair needs to be rinsed well, until the water runs clear. When this has been achieved, time to ensure your colour is long lasting and hair is not left feeling brassy and damaged. This is achieved with Garniers Conditioner, enriched with avocado oils it deeply nourishes and smoothes hair whilst sealing in the colour. The conditioner needs to be applied amply from root to tip and left for a full 3 minutes to allow deep penetration.
Well, a new haircut, new colour and a full hour later, my hair is preened, glossy, vibrant and shiny. After, styling, I’d noticed the multi-dimension reflections of my newly coloured locks. To my surprise the Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Colour creates expressive colours and reflects, even on my naturally dark hair, Very IMPRESSIVE for an at-home product.
So, if you’re looking for bold and intense looking colour, look no further than Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color! This range of vibrant home hair colour is enriched with Grape Seed and Avocado Oils and the result is a vivid looking, long-lasting colour with a nourished feel you can trust. After all its never too late to go UN-NOTICED :D

I think the best part of this product is the smell firstly, it has the best smell i have ever smelt for a hair dye... its very creamy and easy to apply. I used my free product on my mothers hair as I wanted to test it that way and she was due for a colour. I also used it on my mothers hair as I wanted to see if it actually is 100% grey coverage as the box says and I am not grey yet.. LOL :) Mom has also just a few grey hairs but it did indeed cover it all up. Left the hair silky and smooth and very shiny!!

My first time using any hair dye, my worst nightmare was having an allergic reaction, but was pleasantly surprised as I felt no itching, no tingling sensation, etc when applying product, also, it was easy to read the instructions, quick to mix and I think that the bottle applicator is awesome, especially for a first timer like me. I expected to be covered in hair dye but the consistency is not drippy and does not just go all over, it stays in place once applied and the colour intensifies over the 30 mins. I also had enough product left over to do my mom's short hair and then some more to touch up my aunt's ends! It was amazing, so next time I know we could share the cost of getting one box for two of us. The colour is beautiful just want I wanted, something natural, but different, noticeable yet simple, and iced coffee is it! A superb natural colour, in fact since I applied Garnier Nutrisse, even my bad work days have not kept me down, I just go down to the loo, look at my hair in the mirror and smile, thanks BB for sending me the product to test, thanks to Garnier for another awesome product, which I will be using continously from now on. The packaging is bright, innovative and the colour is as identical to the actual colour on hair, the conditioner lasts, just like the product itself so I still have lots left over and I have hair over my shoulder. I truly am impressed with this product and am happy with the soft, luxurious result, really, I have curly hair and since applying Garnier Nutrisse Iced Coffee and using the conditioner, my hair is silky smooth and soft, its just heavenly and I love it!

Thanks to Beauty Bulletin, I was one of the many ladies chosen to receive the Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color hair dye in 4.15 Iced Coffee shade. I have only ever dyed my hair once two years ago with wash out colour so I was pretty nervous about using this permanent hair dye. What scared me the most was the Ammonia ingredient. Ammonia's are almost always placed in permanent hair dyes to strip your natural colour from your hair shaft and help to bond the new colour to your hair. It's quite a harsh chemical and over time with excessive use it is known to break and damage hair extensively. So you can see I was a bit concerned. I am very fussy when it comes to hair products because I believe in using the best to take care of my long locks. So I set fear aside and decided to dive head first into the challenge. Excuse the pun!
The box is equipped with fairly over sized hand gloves, the two hair dye applicators, conditioner and instructions. It is always best to dye your hair a few days after washing it because the dye won't penetrate well into clean hair and would just slide off your hair thanks to your product build up of shampoo and conditioners. Make sure it is at least three days after you wash your hair to get the most out of your hair colour. Also line your hairline around your head, ears and arms with Vaseline to prevent the dye from staining your skin. Wear old clothes and use old towels as well.
The instructions are fairly easy to follow and the dying applicators are easy to use. The dye applies well to the hair. I started in the middle of the scalp and worked it through the lengths of my hair. The application is mess free and the dye did not run or drip on my clothes which I love. The actual hair dye once mixed has a very strong smell which burns the nose. After the recommended 25 minutes of setting the dye in once I rinsed my hair I noticed extensive hair loss which did freak me out a little. I think the harshness of the ammonia cause's your hair to break off and fall out. If you don't want a lot of hair loss I suggest that you don't dye your hair with ammonia.
After rinsing I applied the rich conditioner which smells amazing. The conditioner has three oils that nourish and moisturise your hair intensely. It leaves your hair super soft and well treated thanks to its Shea butter, avocado, olive and blackcurrant oils.
My hair is very dark brown almost black. The Iced coffee shade shines a chocolate brown in the sun but if I am in natural light the colour is not very noticeable on my hair. Would I use this Garnier product again or recommend it to any one else? No, I would not use it again or recommend it because of the hair loss that this dye caused and because the colour wasn't rich or intense enough for a dramatic change. It did not leave my hair dry or damaged but I was not very impressed with the results.

While my box of Garnier had been through a rough time, the contents were still intact. The fruity smell of the conditioner was obvious as soon as I opened my envelope, but other than the box, nothing was damaged. I’ve used Garnier before because they offer great value for money (and is affordable), come in an extensive range of fantastic colours, and covers hair evenly, leaving your hair vibrant and shiny (thanks to the awesome conditioner they provide with each colour application).
As the very light roots in my before pic proves, it’s been a while since I’ve dyed my hair – about four months, give or take. After a liberal application of Smith’s Rosebud Salve (I don’t have Vaseline :|) I set about preparing and applying the dye.
My hair is the longest it’s probably ever been and I was worried about whether one box would be enough. From other ladies’ (with thicker hair) reviews, it seemed one is enough, and fortunately it’s more than enough, allowing for thorough and even coverage.
The non-drip formula is fantastic! No trickles of colour running down your neck or face, which means less mess in general.
After rinsing the colour, applying and rinsing the conditioner, I was concerned about the redness of the colour. I’ve had red hair before, but since my skin is behaving like that of a teenager, I really didn’t want even more red to emphasise the colour of my blemishes. However, it didn’t turn out that badly, and it’s mostly my roots that show any red at all. And my mom says I’m overreacting :)
I kept being distracted by how soft and shiny my hair was. Thanks for this opportunity, Beauty Bulletin and Garnier; my hair’s all pretty again now!

I felt no tingling sensation on my scalp, as with other products, during the time it took for the colour to develop, nor did my eyes sting!
A quick easy no fuss way to keep my hair looking full of life, vibrant and shiny.
A great product that I will recommend and definitely use again

Before I started using Garnier, I had tried at least 4 different brands. As a true blonde, I decided to go brunette about a year and a half ago and after a while I couldn't afford to go to the hairdresser every month when my roots started to grow out blonde. So I finally faced my fear of doing it on my own and turned to the box. It turned out that my hair was super stubborn and the colour washed out of my hair within a week or two. I knew that if I kept trying I would find a brand that worked, and finally I found Garnier, and I have been using it ever since.
The only issue that I had was that even though I was putting medium brown colour in my hair, other people constantly complemented me on my "black" hair. Even though it was a compliment, it worried me that people thought I had black hair and I was too scared to try the light brown as it seemed too light.
So I was very happy to hear when the new Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Colour came out with new colours and I couldn't wait to try the Iced Coffee 4.15. Well it turns out, it is just the right colour for me! And my hair turned out super shiny and super soft. No disappointments.
I have a confession to make. I buy my fiance a spare pair of gloves and he helps me put the colour in my hair. I don't know how other girls do it, but I struggle with the back of my head- and I just don't want to miss a spot. It's actually great bonding time :)
Also I just want to say that I really like Garnier's approach to not compromising on the product for fancy packaging. All the other brands put their product in fancy bottles, which just get thrown away and then the product doesn't land up working, so kudos to Garnier.
I'm going to stick to Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Colour Iced Coffee 4.15. I've already gone and bought my next box.

I was slightly nervous using permanent hair dye at home as I have only ever used temporary (24 wash) hair color at at home. However, this was really easy to apply, no mess no fuss. The instructions were crystal clear which left no room for disaster, and the application itself was mess free as well. The hair dye had quite a pungent smell, but I think that is standard in any permanent hair color. I left the color on for the required time, and during this time the color stayed put and I didn't have any tingling sensation on my scalp or anything like that. I washed my hair per the instructions and have been pleasantly surpised by the results. First off my hair has a lovely fresh fruity smell. The color itself is vibrant with a nice shimmer, but hasn't altered my own natural color so much that it looks false (I am a natural brunette). I like the reddish tinge to my hair and best of all my hair feels and looks healthy! I will definitely be making use of this product again :)

I will definitely try this product again. It impressed me - and still does!

In the past 25 years (roughly half my life) I've colored my hair sporadically “out of the box” with either Clairol or Garnier products and done the salon “all over plus highlights” thing about three times. My color is naturally medium brown, and I am usually drawn by the color of the girl’s hair on the box. Because there is not a drastic color change (ie from brown to red) I do not have much of a problem with roots having to be touched up.
The colorant is easy to mix together by pouring the colour into the developing lotion bottle and giving it a shake. It is then ready to use. It is very easy to apply. I divide my hair into sections and cover the roots first with the formula, before scooping my hair up in my hands, piling it on top of my head and squeezing the rest of the product through the lengths whilst doing so.
What else is impressive is the fragrance, which makes for a very pleasant experience. Your eyes won't be watering or your nose stinging and neither will those of family members who have to use the bathroom after you!
After 30 minutes, I rinse the product from my hair using the shower and once the water runs clear I apply some of the thick, creamy conditioner (saving some for next two washes). This moisturizes my hair superbly. The comb glides through my hair easily and after rinsing my hair feels soft and smooth. I only wish I could purchase the conditioner as a stand-alone product!
After blow drying my hair as usual, I am always very pleased with the condition and colour of my hair. Whatever shade I used, it always covers my minimal grey threads. My hair looks shiny and vibrant and smells yummy too!
Simply love the shade – Iced Coffee ?

My dark hair had not been coloured for over two years so I was confident my hair would react well with the product. For the most part, recently dyed hair will not absorb colour well, especially if the hair colour is dark. Hair colour products usually recommend waiting a few weeks before colouring your hair again, but I've found that with my thick hair I have to wait months before my hair is ready to by dyed again.
My biggest concern was ending up with orange hair that looked brassy in the light. I've lightened my hair before and it looked great inside my house, but once I stepped out into the sunlight my hair looked like a big pumpkin.
Garnier recommends applying the hair mixture to dry, unwashed hair. I recommend not using any hair products the day of application, it may not react well with the product. I followed the instructions and combined the ingredients to make the lightening mixture. I put on the gloves provided in the kit and began to shake the bottle away from my face. After shaking the bottle for a few minutes I noticed the mixture looked white and thick. Garnier mentions in the directions the mixture may turn a darker colour during application, but this is not indicative of the colour results. I then applied the mixture only to my hair lengths and ends, making sure to save some of the mixture for my roots. The mixture is left on hair lengths and ends for exactly 20 minutes. Later, after the 20 minutes is completed, you finish the process by applying the rest of the mixture to the roots and wait an additional 10 minutes. The total length of time for the lightening process is 30 minutes.
During the first 20 minutes I did not notice any colour change to my hair lengths and ends, but during the last 10 minutes, after applying the mixture to my roots, I began to notice a slight colour change, especially at the top of my head.
After exactly 30 minutes I rinsed the mixture out of my hair. The mixture had turned a dark brown colour during the processing time so I made sure to rinse my hair until the water was clear. I shampooed my hair and applied the conditioner provided in the kit. I left the conditioner on for five minutes and then rinsed. My hair felt silky and smooth, almost healthier than before the lightening process.
When I looked at my wet hair in the mirror I did not notice a big difference in my hair colour. Only the very top looked slightly lighter, but after a quick blow dry I instantly noticed a HUGE difference. As you can see from the picture below, my hair turned out at least two shades lighter.
So, I'm sure you are wondering if I would purchase this product . Yes, I already bought a second box to use in a few months. =)

First of all Thank You Beauty Bulletin for allowing me to review Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Colour in Iced Coffee.
After reading the very clear instructions I was ready to begin
I decided to use the colour to cover my grey roots and any stray grey I have amongst my many hair colours(I like my hair to have different colours in it that is why I only did the roots)
I separated my hair in to sections put the provided gloves on and squeezed the tube of colour into the bottle of activator shook it and the I was ready!
Application was simple and the product was easy to use
Once I had completed the application I wiped any product off my hair line with cotton wool and toner it came off easily
25 mins later I rinsed the colour off and applied the Colour Nourishing Conditioner~which smells fantastic and there is enough product to condition my hair 2 more times~ combed it through and waited the required 3mins then rinsed off
RESULT great colour~no grey~ soft hair nourished good smelling hair!
Very Happy with the result
Would definitely use this product again

I was so ecstatic to hear I was one of the lucky ones to review the Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color. I was contemplating which colour to choose but at the end I chose a colour that would suit my skin tone.
I chose the 4.15 Iced Coffee to darken my hair as my hair colour was ligher. This was the first time I used a Garnier hair dye and I must say I LOVED it.
Its amazing because:
It has 8 weeks of anti-dryness which means Ultra shimmering, long lasting brunette Silky, shiny hair, and
It has ultra visible reflects,
It comes with a new conditioner which has 3 oils namely Avocado, Olive and Blackcurrant, to really nourish your hair,
The hair coulour nourishes your hair during colouring and the oil conditioner nourishes after thus resulting in better hair clour.
The box is beautifully designed to indicate the desired colour and what results will show. It provides the safety instructions for consumers who are going to use this product on the side of the box as well as a leaflet inside. The box also shows the colour result on natural hair.
In the box:
1 x applicator bottle of Developer Creme (A)
1 x Nourishing Colour Creme (B)
1 x Colour Nourishing Conditioner (C)
A pair of gloves
And the instruction leaflet.
The steps were easy to follow as well as the easy process of mixing the dye. All I had to do was Squeeze bottle (B) into the Applicator bottle (A) and shake for 30 seconds then break the tip of (B) and Voila!! That was the easiest procedure and was not time consuming.
I followed the steps on the leaflet to the T and I double checked to see if I was doing it right. I must say the smell of the dye was pleasant and not that strong ammonia smell other dyes have. I left the the dye on for the approximate time and then rinsed. the dye dit NOT dry my hair out at all...which was amazing.
I used the Tresemme shampoo followed with the Garnier Nutrisse conditioner which smelt lovely and was rich in texture. My hair felt so soft and I have enough for another 4 or 5 washes. I then used an overight treatment for my hair and rinsed the next day, dried and styled with my NEW NOURISHING COLOUR!
I would like to Thank Beauty Bulletin and Garnier for selecting me as one of the lucky ones to review such an amazing product.

Thank you Beauty bulletin for my Garnier hair dye in iced coffee:)
I found it extremely easy to mIx the products for application;I used the gloves which comes with the dye to prevent my hands from being colored;
i enjoyed the fruity smell which made my application process an enjoyable one;
for some reason even tho i left the dye on for a long time it did not catch too much; perhaps that's because the plastic bottle with the white liquid was damaged; the conditioner which came with the dye was a pleasure to use as if left my usually unmanageable hair soft shiny and manageable;
I washed my hair again after 3 days and it still smelt and looked good;
tO gain a complete iced coffee color on my naturally curly hair i will be purchasing a second box of Garnier to apply after a few months tho; A DEFINITE MUST TRY I RECOMMEND TO ONE AND ALL FIND YOUR COLOR AND ALSO GAIN WITH SOFT SHINY HEALTHY LOOKING HAIR!!!

I am a regular color dyer and I am dye my hair brown atleast every second month. My biggest fuss is getting the dye through all my hair.
This product was so easy to comb through to my ends, the color is natural and not so "harsh" like some browns that almost look black. I really enjoyed using this product and I am more than likely going to adopt this as my touch up dye every 6 weeks.

Being in my late 30's, the most important factor when buying/trying a hair color, is gray coverage. I also spend a lot of money on conditioning products and oils for a sleek look.
Ultra Color is surprisingly mild, yet the color did not take too long to set. The new conditioner is fabulous and smells divine.
And guess what? No gray hair in sight!
