Based on the modern, dark and sexy packaging and the edgy Lady Gaga persona I was expecting a heavy, smoky and dark fragrance. Lady Gaga Fame is not at all what I was expecting, its sweet and girly with a subtle hint of incense and saffron. It reminds me of a younger fresher version of Agent Provocateur. Its really pleasant and easy to wear for day time. The initial spritz is sweet and floral and as it warms up I get more spicy incense notes. The sillage is not bad but at the end of a 12hr day the only note remaining is that of honey. This is a great perfume for spring and autumn but I would prefer something less sweet for the summer heat and a fragrance with more depth and intensity in winter. The black fluid is very interesting and I'm still amazed every time I spray it and goes from black to transparent. If this perfume really describes Lady Gaga's personality then there is much more to her than meets the eye.
