Hi ladies, this October’s bargains are all about the FACE. I am always looking for a way to save on high end products (MAC) and keep them for “special” times and then cheaper products for everyday use. Although these products are cheaper they are in no way less effective!
The best find for me this month has been a BOURJOIS product. This brand has been around for so long. When my mom trained to be a beauty therapist in 1979 it was around. The one thing my mom has always taught me is that you cannot go wrong with a French cosmetics and skin care brand as the French have been making cosmetics and skin care for years. That is why you will find most of their old brands still in production and popular due to the fact they put so much research into their formulas. So when I found this here in Cape Town I was over the moon and their prices are also so reasonable!
#1 Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum: +- R130
I had heard so many UK bloggers and Youtubbers going on and on about this Bourjois Health Mix Serum Gel Foundation and it was for a good reason. This is a sheer serum foundation, but they do have a fuller coverage option. I love that this is enriched with fruit extracts which is so obvious by the smell and the texture. This foundation is build-able and a great everyday option.
#2 Rimmel Stay Matt: +- R80
Again this is another holy-grail product for many bloggers. I was very very slow on the bandwagon with this product but I am so happy to be now on it! What I really like about this Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder is that they have shade options as well as a translucent one. The translucent one is what I bought. I love this because if you have a bit of a tan or if you are pale it doesn’t really matter because it matches anything. I find that this really works well with the Bourjois but doesn’t work so well with my MAC Face and Body. I am convinced MAC make it impossible to use any other powder or cover up with their foundations (sneaky!)
#3 Essence Stay Natural Concealer: +- R25
I have been looking for an inexpensive option to cover up the designer bags under my eyes as well as a highlighting concealer. This Essence Stay Natural Concealer really is a good option. The only problems with it are that I should have chosen a lighter colour and the other thing is that it has only lasted me one only month.
I really hope you ladies found this article useful and if you have any products to share do let me know and I will try them out! Next month I will be chatting about contour and highlight bargain finds!
