Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover

This was my first ever full coverage foundation I purchased back in the 2000's. I am very fair skinned and unfortunately at that time the shade range weren't very accomodating. I ended up buying the lightest shade which oxidized and made me look like an oompa loompa. But as for the longivity and coverage it is worth the price tag. A little goes such a long way. This is great for anyone who wants medium to full coverage without the heavy feel on your skin. Luckily they came out with more shades to the range so I will definately repurchase this product in my 'ghostly' colour :)

This is the best cover up product by far. I mean for us with acne scars you can never go wrong. I love how light it is in the skin, and there is no need to always excuse yourself to the bathroom to powder your nose it stays forever.

This is a great foundation with a excellent coverage. I've been using this for years and started using it to cover my pigmentation. You must just ensure that your skin has been properly moisturised and that the moisturiser has absorbed nicely before applying, otherwise, it tends to gather into your fine lines and wrinkles. Once you get this right, its creamy texture glides on smoothly. The Estee Lauder make-up brush (slightly dampened) or a high-quality make-up sponge helps smooth it out over your face. It has never clogged my pores or caused any spots. They have quite a range of colours and mine is perfect with my skin tone. It's not necessary to put powder over this, as it is fairly long lasting and if you do, it may give it a very powdery look - which is not great for dehydrated/dry skins. Overall a great product and lasts me about 6 months.

I recently got shade matched for this foundation and the consultant at the counter suggested that I use this foundation to cover up my acne scars.
This foundation, while pricey, has INCREDIBLE coverage. I even got compliments on how clear my skin looked - it covered my acne scars like magic!
I do find it looks a bit heavy on the skin and it dries up super fast so you have to work quickly or in sections to avoid it drying before its blended out.

This foundation is everything I love it, It covers up everything, it's lightweight, it looks natural and it's not that expensive

For full coverage foundation Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover is the very best on the market and will not disappoint you at all its of a great quality and i highly recommend it !

My absolute favourite foundation!

I have a fair bit of scaring from teenage acne and this is the only foundation i have found that i am happy with just one layer on. It covers so brilliantly.

Once the foundation is on it feels so light which is very surprising considering how much it covers!

The formula dries pretty quickly so i suggest working quickly and applying the foundation straight onto your blender or brush.

If you layer this foundation too much or if you leave it too long without blending it can look patchy and textured so be very careful not to procrastinate.

In my opinion it may be a bit too full-coverage for day to day wear but it can be mixed with a number of other foundations to give you the coverage you need.

For photo shoots/ special events this foundation is the perfect way to achieve porcelain, flawless skin.

I'm obsessed!

I purchased this foundation in the shade 3N1 Creamy Vanilla. This shade in particular is very neutral and definitely a shade too light for me. I have yellow undertones and in the original Double Wear I am in the shade 2W2 Rattan. However, in the Maximum Coverage formula 2W2 Rattan is a tad too dark for me.

I plan on getting it anyway, so that I am able to custom mix my perfect shade. Lauder recently launched a few new shades in their original Double Wear range and I am praying that they will do the same in the Maximum Cover range, because when you use a full coverage foundation - the shade needs to be a pretty perfect match for your skin in order for it to not give a mask like appearance (which is what you should always aim for).

Now that that's out of the way, I can get to why I can see myself committing to this foundation. The coverage is insane and I love that you only need a tiny amount to create a perfect blank canvas. The formula is so easy to work with - it is velvety, spreads like butter and you have enough time to blend it seamlessly into the skin.

The finish is very skin like - unless you use too much - in which case it will accentuate texture and make you look 1000 years older. The lasting power on my skin is about 8 hours and I do have to set this foundation with a powder. It has not caused any breakouts thus far and it removes a lot easier than the original Double Wear.

If you enjoy full coverage then this should be your foundation of choice. Just be very aware of the poor shade selection and that you may have to purchase 2 shades to match your complexion.

Estee Lauder has the best foundations, no doubt! The maximum cover foundation covers everything leaving skin looking completely flawless, I use it to cover my tattoo behind my ear when I wear my hair up (getting a tattoo on impulse behind your ear, not such a great idea). Because it is a camouflage formulation only a little is needed and the application is quick. I would recommend using a powder over it though because it tends to rub off and I like my skin to look matte. It costs around R450 for a tube but will last you a few months.

This has been my go - to foundation for years, until Estee Lauder discontinued my colour. And the other colours available in this range is too dark for my skin tone. This is a great foundation.
It covers to the max with longevity for days. It really works. A tube of this would easily last me for 7 months. It might be a little heavy for some people, but it has not caused me any breakouts. If Estee Lauder would bring back my shade, I would definitely go back to this in a flash. It might be expensive, but a little goes a looooong way.

This foundation will give you a blemish free look! It covers up everything! My face is covered with 'beauty spots' (freckles) and they are no match for this foundation!

I love this product because it is the only foundation that I can use to not only give me a smooth look but also cover the pigmentation mark on my face without looking like I've been plastered, and the best part of iet all is one uses so only a little bit and can go a long way...

I was introduced to this product about 5 years ago and I have never ever gone back. It covers every blemish that you could have and makes you look like the photoshopped models we all aspire to be. Some might find it pricey but you don't need to use a lot to get the desired effect and I have managed to make a tube last for just under 3 months.
