I don't usually like lipglosses in general, I just find them too sheer and too shiny on my lips. What I love about this lipgloss is that it has a slight pigment to it, just enough for a little bit of color while looking very natural. The price point is great and the product lasts you a while. The nudes are great in this line!

I love stunning nudes and light colours on my lips. It lifts me up and gives me the confidence I need to get through the day. The packaging is a slim bottle with a soft spongy applicator to apply the lipgloss evenly. For my nude colour, I would apply 2 coats to bring out the colour and I find that it softens my lips and lasts quite long. For the Brighter colours I would apply 1 coat as not much Is needed. I love the smell of the product and the feeling is great.

Amazing product at a great price and its longlasting. What more could I want.

Aarghh it really kills me to say this but i think this is the first Essence product im not a fan off. even though my lips literally HATE me when i use any matte lip product i went and purchased this matt lipgloss, being the smart ass that i am i decided on just purchasing one of the Essence Matt Matt Matt lipgloss opposed to the entire range incase i didnt like them-and this is where it pretty much goes down hill. The packaging is cute and sleek but its a lipgloss - err one would think its would be more liquidy (if thats even a word) in formula, this "lipgloss" is almost mousse and thick in texture and when applied it went on streaky! lipglosses dont exactly have the best staying power unlike a liquid lipstick so this one will definitely not withstand an eating or drinking war!
if anyone did like these lipglosses you can have mine i picked it up in the shade girl of today from my local Dischem store.

This is I think the only product that didn't impress me that much, its great and its not sticky and so but its just another gloss if you get what say. Nothing stood out about it. If I compare it to the rest of my glosses its more or less the same a gloss is a gloss. But that's just it its not, and a gloss really needs that wow factor to get itself out of the "its just a gloss" group.
Then I don't know about the long lasting part, it lasts as long as any other gloss would so once again its just another gloss.

Nothing bad about it but I wanted it to wow me like all the other Essence product did. I still use it on a daily basis since I'm a nude lip with a bit of gloss girl but like I said there was nothing about it that made me say "I need to buy this again"

I bought a few of these on a whim a few months ago and as much as I tried to like them, I just couldn't. I am a huge fan of Essence products but these let me down. I tried the glosses as well as the mattes. The mattes were very creamy and pigmented which I liked, but the smell was horrendous. It smelt very chemically and unappealing. The colour also only lasted for like 5 minutes before fading.

The glosses were very sticky and moved all over the place. Glosses aren't known for being long-wearing but the shine wore off pretty quickly. They were very affordable though. I think this would be great for highschool kids or someone just starting their makeup journey. For me knowing exactly what I want in a lip product, I just wasn't impressed.

I purchased the shade Hot Brownie from Takealot. Previous to this I had not tried any of the matte lipglosses from Essence, I simply have not been able to find them. The shade is a dark brownish red. The product actually has a brownie like smell. I like the flat applicator, I find that it helps with precise application of the product.

The texture is much like a cream, it does not dry out your lips and I really like the colour.
The only down side for me is that I find that the product fades quickly. This may be due to the fact that I do not use it with a lipliner, I think I will look for a suitable shade to match it.

Overall I find the product to be of good quality and price. I would like to try some of the other shades on offer.
