This eyeliner has the nicest APPLICATOR. Felt-tip and thin, perfect for a quick winged liner. I used to be amazed by how quickly it did my eyeliner in the morning. The only issue is it flakes during the day and smudges everywhere if you have oily eyelids like me. Not sure if an eyelid primer helps. The waterproof version is only slightly better but it also smudges everywhere and is decidedly NOT waterproof. Not a long-lasting product, so despite loving the applicator, I had to stop using it to avoid the raccoon-eyes/hungover look.
The pigmentation starts off good but is gone after like 3 uses.
I need a liner that's going to give me consistency while I'm applying my wing and this one just ended up being more work (I had to reapply over the same area many times) for a very average looking outcome.
I've stopped using this .
I've used this once before. At first, I felt like I had found the perfect product due to its thin tip. However, after a few weeks, the colour had gone lighter and the product dried up too quickly
Like my review on all the other liquid eyeliner pens of Essence and for that matter most of the other Cosmetic houses, they just don't last long enough! A few uses and you on the curb!
What is super amazing about this liquid pen is its super fine tip. Winged eyeliner has never being this easy ...if it last! I kind of kept this pen now (even if its dry) as a tool. Like you would with an eyeliner brush, to do my winged eyeliner with. I dip it in a liquid eyeliner bottle which I have and then do the liner, since you struggle to get a tip as fine and firm as this.
So all in all I have to say the the product let the packaging down.
I love this product, I have been using it for about a year now. I am a more mature woman, and prefer a more natural look, this eye liner pen is perfect for me. It's super simple to apply, makes a very fine line, on my lash line, doesn't smudge, doesn't run when I swim, and lasts all day.
I tried this out as I normally use liquid liner, and was interested to see how an eyeliner pen worked.
The colour was not black enough for me, and the fine point at the end was not that stiff, so it was tricky doing precision work. Also it dried out very quickly.
I'v been wearing my cat eye and live by liquid/gel liners and I recently tried this product since it only cost about 50 bucks I figured i would drop my usual Revlon color stay liner for the Essence.
Pro's
super fine tip for precision liners
easy to us
does not smudge
quick dry (work fast when creating you line)
Con's
Dries out too fast!
Not as black (have to go over with a different liner to create the dark cat eye)
Even though the pro's out weigh the cons find that I still prefer using my previous liners. I feel like this liner is best used for beginners to create their outline before filing in the full eye. I do love the easy to use super fine tip but the quick dry out is a pet peeve for me.
I like it but if you are a beginner to the liquid liner this product would be perfect.
I recently bought this to test it out. My sister likes to use essence products, so I thought id test it out to swing her the way of using liquid eyeliners as they are so much more effective. This one is great value for money and the quality is better than I thought it would be. The black pigment is quit dark as it goes onto ur skin but I recommend just going over it twice for a darker line
