Essence MySkin Moisturising Cream-Gel

This cream has a lovely lime and cucumber scent which is very appealing and on slightly warmer days feels cool and calms your skin when you moisturize. The box says its for all skin types and is oil-free, which is fantastic as I don't particularly like moisturizers with an oily feel and I don't suffer from dry skin. It also says that it offers 24 hour intense moisture for radiant skin. It did last all day and kept my skin moist and not oily. I also had no bad reaction to it.

I like the cream-gel consistency as it glides smoothly on my skin and also absorbs very well - leaving no greasy feel or thickness which some moisturizers do. It has shiny particles when you closely inspect your skin after application which create a 'shine' - which i'm not too fond of but I guess it would be great for those who are looking for a glow on their face. It does mention it on the packaging though so its my fault for not checking ("the light reflecting pigments inside let the skin glow"). The packaging also mentions protective uva/uvb filters but probably not enough to protect your skin from harmful sun damage.

It is a lightweight cream and is also effective in what it claims to do. It is also well priced. I like this for care-free summer days but prefer a moisturizer that has other benefits too. Would recommend for younger skins that don't need much other than moisturizing and a dewy glow.

Moisturising cream-gel in lime and cucumber. Very refreshing and oil-free I really like this product and it reminds me of The Body Shop mattifying gel in consistency and moisture. It has a very slight, subtle shimmer to it which will look does create a bit of a "glow" which put me off to be honest, I can see how it works on younger skin but not really everyday for me.

Overall a fairly good range and perfect for their target market, also at such good prices they are perfect for those tighter budget months. All Essence products are available at Clicks.
