After hearing some good reviews, I decided to give this product a go. Being a huge Essence fan, I was really looking forward to trying these out.
It comes in a cute plastic tub with screw lid, and the pearls are multi-coloured pastel balls with a sweet candy fragrance.
I don't think I have ever been more disappointed by a product before. I am not sure if maybe I am applying incorrectly, but there is absolutely NO shimmer! I use my powder brush to "stab" at the balls, and also roll the brush over the balls to try and pick up as much powder as possible, before sweeping over my face. I do this several times over the same spot, and manage to get a tiny bit of sparkle, but nothing noticeable by other people!
I was wanting a product that would give a beautiful dewy shimmer look, and this does not deliver at all.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. This product was an absolute waste of money. If you are wanting a tub of pretty, sweet smelling powder balls, then this is great, but if you are wanting a product to give you shimmer, then rather opt for something else!
If someone out there has been successful with these shimmer pearls, please let me know because it is likely I am applying it incorrectly, but until then I am just about ready to bin them!

Hey... I am sure something is wrong with the product, you not really applying it wrong, but I get a soft shimmer from it, which is quite visible, so I'd double check the product you have or maybe check with Essence South Africa. But for the look which you trying to achieve, I'd recommend you try Inglot HD Illuminating Loose Powder
