Epilation

Had this epilator for over 4 years now and still works like a charm and much better than a lot of the newer ones on market.

Not so sure about these hair removal products, would love to try it but a bit worried that I would be wasting my money as I am a very hairy female and tried and tester-ed so many products on the market with not much improvement.

I've never used an epilator before, but after reading Ayesha's review and other people's reviews on epilators, I decided to see if I can invest in one. I went to Clicks and found this Veet Duo Epilator & Shaver for only R299!!! I was very excited to see an epilator by a reputable brand going for a much lower price than the other epilators.

When I got home, I read the instructions etc. I used the numbing spray that comes with the duo epilator/shaver and waited the required 2-5 minutes. I began the epilation process and bit my lip in preparation for the pain. But, it wasn't so bad. Tiny little stings, but not unbearable pain.

I think the numbing spray played a major role in reducing the pain.

The epilator itself is very easy to use. It picks up the hairs easily and I has hairless in a few seconds.

The best part is the fact that it has taken 5 days for the hairs to start growing back!! I usually have to shave everyday...but not anymore.

This is a great alternative to waxing...which i've never tried because i'm scared of the pain. You can use an epilator at home for the same, if not, better results.

The shaver, on the other hand, I did not find very impressive. I'm not sure if it was because my hairs were too short, and so, it did not give me a smooth shave...Its supposed to be perfect for a close shave, but I did not get 'close shave' type of results.

The epilator is a 10/10, but the shaver is maybe a 4/10 for me.

I adore the veet Duo! I don't use a razor at all anymore. The epilator has two speeds and many tiny tweezers that grip even the smallest if hairs. It is rechargeable and will work for up to 40 minutes on a full charge, or you can use it with the charger plugged in. I mentioned earlier that I don't shave anywhere anymore, so? The shaver? Well my husband uses that side, so we got two appliances for one price. His face has never been smoother thanks to the foil system. And no more ingrown hairs at all! Over all I just live this system and feel that it was the best buy I ever made. I have been using the epilator for about three months now, at first For my under arms and bikini area i had to use it every third day as opposed to shaving, which I had to do on a daily basis!!! That is how fast my hair grew! After about two weeks I only had to use it once a week and now I only use it every 12 to 16 days. That is only twice a month. The hair has grown back thinner and much less has grown back. I do use it in conjunction with the veet hair regrowth inhibitor lotion. On my legs I only use it once every two months, ( thankfully the hair on my legs grow very slowly )
