EOS - Lip Balm Spheres

I am a sucker for lip-ices, but struggled to find one that works. Many of them do not stay on for longer than 5 minutes and others make a sort of paste on my lips. However, EOS is completely opposite. Their flavours are awesome and it lasts. Yes, it is a lot more expensive than others, but it is definitely worth it!! Since I've started using it there has been a great improvement in my dry lips.

I love the packaging, I love the different colours and fragrances. It was so cute my daughter nicked mine!

I recently purchased my first EOS Lip Balm after all the hype, I was quite hesitate as I didn't want to spend so much of money on a lip balm because I'm very picky when it comes to any lip balm/ gloss I put on my lips.

The EOS lip balm in Pomegranate Raspberry comes in a cute fuchsia colour ball and smells more of Pomegranate, than Raspberry. The application is very smooth.

I'd definitely place this EOS sphere in my Top 5 Lips Balms. It moisturizes my lips without leaving my lips sticky and stays on for quite a while so I don't have to keep on re- applying it. Its 100% natural and consists of shea butter which is a plus.

I really don't know why I waited so long to give this a go!

I was so excited to try the EOS lipbalm as I've seen so many YT's uncap these cute little ball balms but was so disappointed in its moisturising power.

It did nothing to hydrate my lips as it just created a waxy texture on it. They have a lovely fragrance and a wide range of flavours but it does not do what a lip balm should. The only awesome thing about it in my opinion, is the packaging. It's so adorable and easy to take everywhere.

Eos lip balms are just the best. The really moisturise my lips, keeping them well conditioned, in our harsh climate. I can't decide which flavour is my favourite, as they are all amazing.
I keep one in my handbag, one in my beach bag, and one in my car, in an assortment of flavours.

The international hype around this brand is definitely something they can be proud of. Celeb music videos and promotional ads isn't always easy to achieve so good for them!

But the actual Lip Balm is not that great. Yes it is moisturizing and it smells great but there are better products out there and they are more affordable.

I guess it's just one of those products that you need to try once so you can brag (like I did) and then go back to using other lip products.

Ok so it's slightly more expensive than our local lip balms, but so worth it!

EOS lip balms have been trending for a few years now and as much as I wanted to jump on that bandwagon when they were launched, I found them to be too expensive, considering that it's simply a lip balm. The lip balms retail from R80- R185, depending where you purchase them so when Zando sent me a message about a R200 off voucher, I jumped at the opportunity to try out one of the EOS lip balms they had in stock. I actually ended up buying it for R4- Yay!!!

Upon the first application of the lip balm, I wholly understood the obsession around the product. It is divine! Ever so smooth and moisturising and to top it off, it is made from 100% natural ingredients of which 95% are organic. Some of the key ingredients to note include vitamin E, olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba seed oil and shea butter and for this particular "Summer Fruit" version of the lip balm, organic extracts of blueberry, strawberry and peach are included. It's also great to know that the product is free from parabens (chemical preservatives) and petrolatum (mineral oil).

The lip balm leaves your lips feeling moisturised but not greasy or waxy as moist lip balms can do. This means that it's great to wear alone or before your lipstick application. Furthermore, the lip balm tastes and smells delicious.

The dome shaped applicator allows for easy application of the product, however due to its shape it may be a hassle to fit into flat compact makeup cases unlike your standard lip balms that come in flatter containers.

The price is quite hefty for a lip balm, however the quality ingredients make up for it.

I am a HUGE lip balm addict and absolutely had to add at least one of these to my collection. I bought myself the Summer Fruit (red) and my sister the Lemon Drop (yellow), so that we could try them both out.

The Summer Fruit is this juicy, fruity, berry smoothie type of flavoured balm. It has the most delicious scent and really nourished my lips. I know a lot of people have said that it can be quite waxy but I honesty didn't find this at all.

The Lemon Drop has an added SPF factor to it and smells and tastes like a glass of homemade lemonade on a hot summer day. Really delicious, and my sister is addicted to all things lemon so this one was perfect for her.

Unfortunately my puppy decided that my Summer Fruit was just as delicious for her, and promptly chewed it up after only 2 weeks of having it :( I have ordered a 5 pack on ebay though and am SO excited to get it!

A relative brought these over from abroad for me and as much as I wanted to like this balm because of all the hoopla surrounding it, I just couldn't! Ofcourse there's a lot of positive factors about it like being chemical free and 95 percent organic etc ,for me it just doesn't function as a lip balm should. Its goes on smooth but wears off too quickly and after a bit my lips feel dry. Labello puts this away by far! All stars for the packaging and yummy flavors though.

After all of the celebrity hype around these little balls of balm I decided to get a few. I asked a treavlling friend to bring back the Summer Fruit and Pomegranate variants from the States.

First impressions: The packaging is so cute and they smell incredible.

I loved using them for the first few days but the novelty soon wore off. I'll admit to prefering rich and nourishing lip balms, but I felt like these balms weren't moisturizing at all. They left my lips feelng dry. To be honest, they're rather pricey for what they are. I appreciate that they are paraben free, cruelty free and I love the flavors but I won't be repurchasing these.

I am a bit of a lip balm addict and love trying new ones out.. so I got my cousin in the UK to bring me a pack when she came for a visit. You can order them online in SA but they are about R99 for 1 so they are really expensive!

I love that they are 95% organic, 100% natural.. most lip balms are packed with petroleum! instead these are packed with vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil.

They arent thick on lips when applied and they do keep lips moisturised
but I would like it if they added a very slight sheen to lips when applied because the application is completely unnoticeable.

I love the unique sphere design! and the fact that it isnt a twist up. but I carry a really small handbag so it isnt exactly a compact fit for me.

Although these are awesome I still think I would ask for good old Chapstick next time I get a visit from the uk (still my no.1 lip balm!)

I purchased my EOS overseas and when I got home I had friends literally offering me R200 for an EOS when I paid R30 for one of them! Ever since all the celebrity pictures of these emerged they have been THE THING.

I bought Pomegrante, Honeydew, Sweet Mint and the orange one which I can't recall the flavour of.

I love their circular packing, the twisty top and the fact that everyone asks where you got yours but I do not find them very hydrating at all. I'd say these are more statement lipbalms than anything else.

I was sent the Honeysuckle and Honeydew balm. It smells amazing, I want to just smell my lips all day long. It is super moisturising too, I am addicted to lip balm, and when I use EOS I find I don't need to reapply as often as I usually would.

While it is a really cute and yummyliciously smelling lipbalm, it isn't the best out there.

It will also cost you a lot to buy this alone because they are usually like $3 and you still have to pay for shipping. But if you're buying other stuff as well, it could work out okay.

I still prefer my Labello or Baby lips.

I love this lip balm. It works immediately. I got 4 flavours and one of them (Lemon Drop) has an SPF 15, which I think is awesome.

The packaging is so cute!It's so different and unique compared to the common tube lip balm.

Pros:

I think these little spheres are so convenient because it fits nicely in your bag and it's easy to apply.
