I have the shade Bountiful Beige and I adore it. I have oily skin, so this does not work on my eyelids - it creased and wears off.

However, I have found another great use for it. This particular champagne shade works wonders as a highlighter.

Because it is so creamy, it applies over foundation with ease. If I want to amp up my glow, I simply dab this on first and then apply my powder highlighter over top. When these 2 products mesh together, they stay for breakfast, lunch and supper.

It does run pretty expensive, but depending on how you use it - it can last you a really long time.

I don't think I would purchase any of the other shades, because I do not like this as an eye shadow.

I bought this after seeing rave reviews of it everwhere.
I went to the clinique counter for my usual repairwear laser focus serum......and emerged with the serum;their latest beyond perfecting foundation;perfect loveblusher;a gorgeous lipstick and this.
So i pretty much broke the bank.
Of all my purchases i simply cannot justify the cost of this.
At R215 its fairly expensive.
And whilst this is my colour...it is hypoallergenic and buildable for different intensities its really no different from Almays double ended offering.
I like it but its nothing special.
Had i not been hardpressed with antsy kids in tow i would have really relooked my till slip and given this a miss

I love Clinique's Chubby Stick for lips, so I was eager to try out Chubby Stick for eyes. It glides on easily, lasts long, blends like a dream, and the colour can be layered to reach your desired intensity.

It is a little pricey, and because it's chubby you can't really use it as an eyeliner - this is purely a colour/shadow application. I'm not much of an eyeshadow-wearer, but this is so easy to use, I might change my ways! :)

Last month I got the opportunity to attend an exclusive Clinique event at the Edgars store in Waterfront to try out the new Chubby Stick Tint for Eyes.

I was so excited after I done some research about the Chubby Stick Tint for Eyes because there was one colour that really stood out to me. I love dark colours on my eyes so Curvaceous Coal was just love at first sight.

About the Chubby Stick Tint for Eyes:

- Packaging:
* The box:
The box is white with pretty pastel flowers around the entire box.
The Clinique logo is on the front in silver with the information on the right of the logo in green.
I expected something a bit more "flashy" because it doesn't really match the product tube.

* The product:
The Chubby Stick Tint for Eyes tube is very sleek and easy to use.
It is a retractable pencil with a silver sturdy cap that pops off and on with ease but the cap won't pop off in your bag because it has a soft click mechanism.
This is so convenient, it's small enough to fit in your purse / makeup baggy and easy to use.
Recently I found out that the wording on the actual Chubby Stick comes off really easy and I thought that kind of sucked.

- Texture:
* It has a creamy texture that is really soft on the lid. It glides on with ease onto the lid.
Even though it's creamy it is very light weight and doesn't feel irritating on the lid.
It is suppose to be a sheer formula but I feel that shade I have is strong (I'm guessing because it's a dark colour?).
Curvaceous Coal has a slight shimmer too and I think that it looks amazing with the grey and dark blue undertones colour. It reminds me of a dark sky with stars.

- Wearability:
* I got a good solid 4 hour wear of the Chubby Stick Tint for Eyes but closer to the end of my 4 hours I noticed some creasing, nothing really noticeable though.
I feel that if the product isn't layered on then it won't stay as long on your lid.
Also, I did not wear a primer so maybe it would've lasted longer if I did.

- Pigmentation:
* The more you put on the more vibrant the colour would be.
I find that even with one layer of Curvaceous Coal the colour looked amazing.

- Applicator:
* I feel that the applicator is too round and thick.
I can't really get in the corner of my eyelids with this, however, I do like the the idea of it being round.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about this product mainly because it's meant for convenience but I find it a bit hard to apply to without a brush.
However, I do like the feeling and look of the product on my eyes.

They are adorable chubby, they come in awesome 12 colours and sassy names that say I-am-all-attitude-baby. They are the grown up version of crayons, the eyelids being the blank colouring book waiting to come alive in colour. The Clinique chubby stick shadow tints for eyes are fairly new in the beauty market and they take the complexity out of applying the eye shadow. If you want a quick and easy sexy smoky eye in 3 steps or less, then look no further.

My first introduction to the Clinique chubby stick shadow tints for eyes happened about a month ago when I attended the Beauty Bulletin Exclusive Clinique hosted by Edgars in Sandton. Boom, within minutes I could do a sexy smoky eye by just wielding the Big Blue, Massive Midnight with or without the Portly Plum Clinique chubby stick shadow tints for eyes. So if you find three to be a time consuming crowd, two chubby sticks will do just nicely. The colours where certainly out of my comfort zone and I must confess they were not my choice but I wanted a smoky eye. So I tried not to flinch when blue and eye shadow were mentioned in the same sentence. Yes, the 80’s movies and sitcoms scarred me. Fortunately the Big Blue with its muted greyish blue hues and the frosted finish combined beautifully with the Massive Midnight which is a navy blue eye shadow with a pearly sheen. A match made in Clinique beauty lab.
The Big Blue chubby stick shadow tint applied all over the eyelids as an eye shadow base blended with the horizontal vee of the Massive Midnight chubby makes for an amazing and easy sexy smoky eye. Applying a navy blue eye liner and framing the eyes with mascara wraps up the look. This eye make-up can be worn during the day or night depending on the intensity in which the stick shadow tints are applied since they are lightweight. These Clinique chubby stick shadow tints are long-wearing and non-smudging so you apply, blend and they stay put. Cherry on top, they are enriched with Vitamin E to treat and beautify the delicate eyelids.

Warming up my Clinique chubby stick shadow tints for eyes before using
them makes for an even easier glide on application.

Before I learnt how to apply my eye make properly, I always wished there was a product that I could just apply all over my eyelid and then just leave the house without having to worry about it!

Now that I have the Clinique Chubby Stick Tint for eyes, I can do just that.

Firstly thank you to Beauty Bulletin for sending me this product and for the lovely event at the V&A waterfront. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed meeting all the ladies that I chatted to so often online.

I received the product in the color Portly Plum which is a deep purple color with a slight shimmer to it. The shimmer is very subtle so it is perfect to wear everyday. I would describe the color as being "eggplant" type color. Also, although it is shimmery in the tube, once applied to the skin it looks quite matte or satin. The shimmer only picks up in the light.

I think the best part about these chubby sticks are that you don't need to wear a primer with them. It is incredibly creamy and applies really easily to the eyelid. The color is constant and is not patchy like some powder shadows can be. You can apply it lightly for a light wash of color over your lids or you can build it up for a more dramatic look.

The ladies at the Clinique counter also showed us that you can apply it with a brush too, which is nice if you have very sensitive eyes and you would want to press the chubby stick against your eye. You could also use your finger to apply it. This is something I would personally not do because sometimes I have other makeup on my fingers.

These Chubby sticks are incredibly long lasting and the colors are all very pretty. You could even use Pink and Plenty as a blush!

My only problem with these Chubby Sticks is the price. At R215 per chubby stick, it is quite expensive for a student like myself. I do think it will be quite long lasting (it contains 3g of product) and if you find a color that you truly like, it would be worth it to purchase it.

You can blend these Chubby Sticks with normal powder eyeshadows to create different looks! Have a look at my pictures and at my video review :)

I have had the wonderful pleasure in being able to attend the Clinique Event at the V&A Waterfront to try out the chubby stick shadow tint for eyes and meeting some of you lovely ladies and friendly clinique consultants.

After the hard decision of not knowing which colour to pick, I finally decided to go with 08 Curvaceous Coal.

Curvaceous Coal is a creamy grey with dark blue undertones. A stunning smokey shade with the lightest touch of shimmer.
The product applies on easily and the texture is fantastic. Its long lasting, doesn't crease and is perfect for the girl on the go.
I love the fact that a sharpener is not required as its a pretty twist up tube. No mess, no fuss. The product is 100% fragrance free and safe for sensitive eyes. It comes in 12 stunning wearable shades and is value for your money (performance and quality)

I am really impressed with this stunning selection of eye candy and I have decided to purchase a few more shades. It makes my life so much easier when it comes to applying make-up.

After I had chosen to review the coal colour of chubby stick I thought I had made a mistake an should have gone for a more neutral, serviceable, everyday colour. But when I received the product I decided to give it a go in using in my day to day eye shadow look. So my favorite was to use the chubby stick is by applying my usual powder shadow usually in dark browns, and then outlining the eye near the lashes to add a more dramatic look. It works wonders and gives the same effect as if you were to smudge your eyeliner, but its so much quicker and easier!

The chubby stock is easy to hold and apply and lasts all day. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it doesn't smudge 5min after you apply! I will definitely buy other colours in the range! Very good product!

I was a very lucky girl when I was chosen to be part of the Clinique event at Edgars, Waterfront, Cape Town.
The consultants were very helpful in assisting us in the proper use of the chubby stick.
I received my bounty beige is the colour that I chose to review.
What I loved about this colour is not only because it is a shimmy neautral, but it is the easier eye shadow I have ever used. I am so glad that the nib does not need any sharpening, as that was always by gripe.

I checked Clinique's website and we do not have all colours available. As soon as I received my bountiful beige, I immediately tried all sorts of styles with it. It makes it easy for smudging and blending. I then used my birthday voucher I received from a friend and bought myself the portly plum. The consultant at the store showed me a cool technique with blending either colours, whether it was a chubby stick or even eyeshadow.

What I've adapted to, is that I leave it in my bag, with my chubby stick for lips an I am ready for anything. Its easy to apply, solid enough not to ever break in your makeup bag, an it makes my job of blending much easier, making me seem like a profesional

After the event we were able to each choose a colour stick as a gift and "EYE" decided to choose the brown one (Fuller Fudge) as my favourite - it's the colour that I use most often. After the event, I waited patiently for it to arrive in my 'inbox' at the local post office...

My gorgeously packaged Chubby Stick in Fuller Fudge arrived on one of my busiest days so I didn’t think I would have a chance to use it properly. I hurriedly got ready for a supper I was running late for and saw it on my desk. I thought I may as well just throw some on for now and do it properly another time. WOW. I was so impressed. I put no effort into the application and it glided on perfectly. It has a very creamy texture which is my favourite kind, way easier to apply than the powders & the tip is just the right size*.

Fuller Fudge is a beautifully rich, bronze with a slight red hint and a stunning frosty finish. What is also amazing is that you have about 2 minutes to play before it sets properly, so you can experiment with shading and darkness levels nicely. What I have been doing for night-time is putting on a layer when I get ready and then before I go out I’ll add another layer to darken it. It lasts long! I tried applying it before work one morning to test the duration and it lasted an easy 8 hours without creasing or fading.

It comes in such a cute crayon shape, it's comfortable to hold and you will never need a sharpener because you just wind it at the bottom if you want more to come out. At R215 it's SO worth it :)

Two people commented on how fabulous my eyes looked at the supper! I owe it all to Clinique’s amazing Chubby Stick. Since then I haven't been able to resist using it every day (I am really trying to save it for special occassions). I was the type of person who never would of even given a new form of eyeshadow another look, because simply I knew how to use eyeshadow and I didn't have a problem using eyeshadow.

I previously also loved lip balms and never would of changed from wearing my trusty labello to the clinque chubby stick which I now religiously purchase because I love it!

So when I heard that Clinique had launched the Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for eyes I was extremely intrigued because I loved the chubby lip balms so much and this new shadow tint would have to live up to some major values.

I was so delighted having been chosen to receive the chubby stick shadow tint to review! I could not wait to give it a try. I watched some YouTube video's on how to apply them and decided that I would like to try the "Fuller Fudge" colour as I love doing Smokey Eyes.

I recieved the tint from the post office and was instantly happy as the packaging was as cute as the Chubby Balms. The tip had a more roundish edge from the lip balm which is more pointier. It also has the retractable technology which protects your chubby.

I immediately tried the product on my hand just to see the colour and was so excited doing that because the cream actually turned to powder once applied to the skin. LIKE MAGIC! It had all the pigments you could possibly want from eyeshadow and more. It also has shimmery effects.

So I got in front of my mirror to see what I could do with my chubby stick tint. The product looks difficult to use at first but once you start, you will be surprised at yourself at how awesome you can actually apply it. It is so easy! The tip of the shadow actually fits perfectly between the ball of your eye on the top of your lid, so it really does make the application of smokey eyes really simple.

I didn't even have to go over the same section twice because one swipe was enough and gave me the best coverage (unless you want to go darker of course)

In no time I had the perfect looking smokey eye with minimal effort. I now look forward to actually purchasing more colours from the range and eventually not even look at traditional eyeshadows again!

Fans of Clinique Chubby Sticks, gather round! Clinique has launched a tint for eyes in their now cult status Chubby Stick style. It comes in 9 hot colours, retails for R215 and glides onto the eye in one quick application.

I was very fortunate to be able to attend Beauty Bulletins Clinique Event and get to see, test, try and choose my shade of the Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes. I fell in love with its sleek, jumbo crayon style and how easy it was to use. The two colours I tried were bountiful beige and fuller fudge. I was instantly drawn to the bronzed subtle golden brown of the Fuller Fudge.

It’s a soft brown with an almost bronze look due to the tiny flecks of glitter. It’s a neutral colour that blends beautifully and goes with every make-up and clothing choice. It easily blends with my other shades of eye shadow and is perfect as a highlighter. The canister is the same as their Chubby Stick for Lips, with its silver base and lid and coloured canister. The 03 Fuller Fudge shows as a glossy brown canister with silver writing. The silver cap pulls off easily and clicks back on with ease. It fits securely, avoiding that pesky lost cap situation. The silver base works like a retractable crayon, with a twist it brings up more shadow stick. The shadow stick is full and has a cream to powder finish. With a swipe on my hand, it feels creamy, lush and silky. The formula has an almost metallic look with a hint of gold glitter. This doesn’t feel rough or irritating and leaves eyelids with a shiny, polished finish.

Like all of Clinique’s products, this too is 100% allergy tested and fragrance free. This ensures the best of quality and greatest of care for your skin. The chubby stick for eyes offers great cover and is easy to use for on-the-go application.

Due to it being a stick and having a retractable canister, its perfect for use when there’s no mirror available and for when you need colour fast. You have full control over the outcome as the pressure you use to apply depicts the intensity of the colour on your eyelids. It’s also sooo easy to now blend your eye colour onto the lower edges as the stick shadow works like an eye-liner with its easy to control canister and creamy texture. No brush means less irritation and intense high pigment straight onto eyelids. To achieve a smoky sultry look, a little blending with your finger helps to soften and ease the colour. It’s so simple, easy and time relieving to use the Clinique Chubby Stick for eyes to create beautiful precise and exotic looks.

At R215, it wouldn’t have been my first choice for an eye shadow had I not got this opportunity to try it. But I’ve become so hooked on its convenience, precision and highly pigmented colour that I’ve purchased 2 more to add to my newly started Clinique collection. :D

My Chubby Stick finally arrived - I chose Lilac 'cos it is my favorite colour ! And blending it with the Clinique pink shade received at the Eastgate Launch makes for a fabulous look.
It glides on perfectly and only needs to be touched up with a brush. The colour does not fade or crease and stays fresh all day (and nearly all night - have to remove before sleep !) And I can easily control how deep the colour is too. Better than the Mary Quant eye crayons of yesteryear !

The Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes sounded like an exciting product and I was very happy when I finally had it in my hands. I chose the Curvaceous Coal colour as I thought it would go well with my dark skin and with the smokey eye I normally wear.

On first application, I was very impressed by how easily it glided across my eyelids. Even more impressive was the creamy and shimmery look of the eyeshadow on my eyelids. I had to use my finger, though, to blend it in nicely and give it a more effortless look. Within a few seconds my eyelids looked as they would have if I’d spend a few minutes with a powder eyeshadow.

This Clinique eyeshadow tint doesn’t crack or dry-out as the day progresses, but continues to look freshly applied.

It’s small in size but the ‘’chubbiness’’ makes it easy to handle. The tube is perfect for carrying around in your purse, right next to your lipstick. You can touch up on your eyeshadow while on the go and it’ll take you only a few seconds to get done.

I’m trying hard to think of the downside of this product, but I can’t. Maybe the only issue I may have, personally, is the price. I feel it is too expensive considering it’s a single tube of eyeshadow in one colour (R215).

But otherwise, Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Curvaceous Coal is a very simple product that turns normal eyes into glamorous eyes in an instant!

Definitely something I will keep on buying and recommend to all my friends and family.

I apologise for my review being so long, however I promise my review is completely worth it.

The hardest part for me was picking a shade to do my review on because all the shades are so beautiful and eye catching, so after long moments of thinking which shade I should choose, I finally settled for the Bountiful Beige. This Chubby Stick Shadow Tint is a more golden colour and is actually used as a highlighter because it gives a beautiful shimmering colour. Ever since the first time I applied the Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint from the Clinique Event, I've fallen in love with the Shadow Tint. I really love the fact that this Chubby Stick Shadow Tint blends in so easily and lasts for hours.

The reason I chose the Bountiful Beige is because I love natural colours with a shimmering effect and I really couldn't wait to get my hands on this amazing Chubby Stick Shadow Tint. The Shadow Tint gives eyes a dazzling and shimmering look which I've never seen before, I was also really impressed about the creamy texture and long lasting colour, I also loved that the Shadow Tint was blendable, but there's a trick to it. My Clinique Consultant from the Clinique Event stated that to blend the Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint, you shouldn't rub in the Shadow Tint, but rather blend the Shadow Tint by gently patting the Tint until its colour is perfect for you. I especially love how the Chubby Stick Shadow Tint can be used on your entire eyelid as an eye shadow, or just as highlighting eyeliner. I also love the fact that there is NO need for eye primer because this Chubby Stick Shadow Tint lasts for hours on eyes, get ready to be dazzled.

How to Use
Apply directly to eyelids.
Blend gently upward and outward, build to desired intensity.
Layer with multiple shades.


I have very sensitive eyes which tend to get irritated if a product doesn't agree with my eyes, so I was really excited when I learned that the Chubby Stick Shadow Tint is allergy tested and 100% fragrance free. Plus the Cubby Stick Shadow Tint is ophthalmologist tested and safe for contact lens wearers. I was also very pleased about the fact that this Chubby Stick Shadow Tint may have beautiful shimmering pigments with vibrant and intense colour, but it melts under eye make-up remover, leaving eyes clean without a trace of Shadow Tint.

I’ve never really been the eye shadow type, most likely because I haven’t the slightest clue how to apply it perfectly. Thanks to Clinique and their amazing Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes, achieving that smouldering, sexy look is simple and fun.

I tried and tested the Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Portly Plum. I had no idea that purple eye shadow would look this great on me. It really complemented my skin tone and eye colour well. It’s quite a dark colour, so it doesn’t really stand out much, but it does make a huge difference.

The best part about this eye shadow is how easy it is to apply. It smoothed onto my eyelids with ease, and I didn’t need to go over with it for the colour to show. The pigment is strong and has this golden shimmer that I just love so much. I also like the fact that this stick is fuss-free and mess-free. All you have to do is twist and go, and it lasts all day and doesn’t crease at all! How can you not love that?

The only downfall about this product is how overpriced it is.

So i received the Clinique Chubby Stick Eye Shadow to try out from our wonderful BB Team , I was so excited as there is so much hype around how good this product it.

So I got to put Clinique's new product to the test.

My thoughts ...

I have to say that application is so smooth and easy, I love the fact that it's a roll up stick so there won't be any eye shadow residue on finger's as I always find when I apply normal eye shadow's..

I got the plum eye shadow which is a mix of purple and brown.. , because I love smokey eyes I find the chubby stick convenient it if perfect for blending with other colours to make a more darker eyelid.

Price is definitely not in my budget , But other then that Cliniques's Chubby Stick Eye Shadow scores an A from me.

So go on try one of these Chubby sticks today, it's worth the try.

I havent bought this product,but i went to clicks yesterday and applied a tester*giggles*,i love Clinique products,so anything new on the market,i have to try it out,i dont wear much eyeshadow,but i must say,i loved how it looked on me,i think i am gona go back for the tester today,mmm and the real deal next week,yay.

I was lucky enough to attend the Clinique function at Edgars in the Waterfront, CPT.
What I like about the chubby stick is that I will NEVER need a sharpener. I like the fact that the swivel action will always have colour ready for me. The lovely assistants from Clinique were extremely helpful, an I gained a lot more knowledge about my own skin tone and products that I need to use to either improve, or enhance my skin to its best ability.

The colour that was tested on me was the Curvaceous Coal. I was never a fan of eye shadow sticks, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to use and the appetizing shades that it comes it.
I was wearing no primer, neither any foundation an I tried and tested the duration of the ‘wear’ myself. The very next day, I went an used my birthday voucher and bought the chubby stick, not only for my review, but also to see how durable it was to use myself, without assistance from the Clinique consultant.

The shimmery colour is very pretty. To apply it was very easy an it stayed on my eye the entire day without any creases or fading. I like the fact that the Clinique ladies used more than one colour and showed me how to blend two and three colours together an it was as easy as 1-2-3!

This is a nice choice to powder eye shadow because this is only 1 swipe for instantly stunning colour to my eyes. Swipe and go!

The brand new Chubby Stick for eyes is totally amazing, I was chosen to try it out a couple of weeks ago at the Clinique Counter @ the V & A Waterfront, I tested 09 Lavish Lilac and 11 Portly plum, it really is long wearing and non smudging, it made my eyes pop and created a beautiful smokey eye effect.

A great,easily-appliable product for your eyes in a shape of a crayon.

For any one who knows Clinique's products, they will be familiar Chubby Stick for Lips. They have now released the Chubby Stick for Eyes! This nifty eyeshadow comes in a stick for - it looks like a reaaly thick eyeliner pencil. It has a cream like texture, and can go on either dark or light depending on how much pressure you apply when using. The shadow can then be evened out using a brush if desired.
It comes in a range of colour to suit all skin tones, as well as what effect the wearer wants to creat - dramatic or more neutral.

I tested 01 (Bountiful Beige) and 07 (Pink and plenty), and a day look was created. It suit my skin perfectly and the result was a wearable look for day - and night with a darker lip.

The shadow - although it's more of a cream - went on smoothly and easily, and there was so shadow falling on the rest of my face meaning no touch ups or clean ups! It goes where you tell it and stays there (unlike most men!)

This is one time that I think most women will openly admit that Chubby is indeed better!
