Sunscreen is an essential in our harsh SA sun. Extended sun exposure causes pre-mature ageing, pigmentation and skin cancer. This product is approved by the CANSA as protection against the harmful effects of the sun. I paid R74.95 on sale at Clicks. My usual sunscreen of choice is the Nivea Invisible Sun Spray which retails for R35 more than the Clicks version. I get through a lot of sunscreen during summer and it would be great to find a cheaper alternative to the Nivea version. I prefer invisible sunscreen as the regular sun lotions leave a white cast on my skin that is very obvious.
The spray has a typical sun spray smell (a slight smell of rubbing alcohol) but once absorbed there is no smell. The main difference between the Nivea and the is that the Clicks sun spray has a slight greasy feeling once applied and takes around 10 min to absorb. The Nivea sun spray is non greasy and absorbs instantly. I think the product is good and offers great protection for a reasonable price. The extra time needed for absorption is not really a problem for me but you must wait for the spray to absorb before getting dressed or you could get greasy marks on your clothes.
