Caught Unaware!

Tampax-CompakThere’s nothing worse than when you leak whilst on your period. While we know it doesn’t signal the end of the world, it can be rather embarrassing. Luckily for you we’ve compiled a list of things you can do to make the situation less mortifying.

Preparation is Better than a Cure

Ensuring you wear the proper feminine products will mean less risk of having an accident. The new Tampax Compak tampons are designed to expand and fit to the mould of your body, meaning there’s no room for accidents. They’re also small enough to be discreetly carried in your handbag. Always pack a spare tampon or two in your handbag so that you’re always prepared.

Clean Up

First and foremost head to your closest bathroom and pop in a tampon. Tampax Compak are great for easy and quick application, even on lighter days, thanks to their new plastic applicators. If you haven’t packed a spare tampon then you can create a makeshift pad using some rolled up loo roll. This should keep you comfortable and protected until you can get hold of a tampon.

Cover Up

If you’ve leaked onto your clothing, don’t panic. This has happened to all of us at least once in our lifetime. Beg, borrow or buy (don’t steal) a jersey or scarf and tie it around your waist until you can get home and change.

Head Home

If you can go home then be sure to treat the stain as soon as you walk in the door. The best way to get blood stains out of your clothing is to soak the item in cold water and treat it with a stain remover solution. Don’t soak your clothing in hot water as this will set it into the fabric.
