I had the same experience with these pencils as Elscha. I don't think they're the right ones to use if you're after a look that requires precision lines. I also purchased the black pencil, i find it's great for smudging (smokey eyes), but not much else. It's really easy to apply, and great to work with. Overall, this is a quality liner with competitive prices, just not the one for me.

Bourjois Propelling Eyeliner - soft like a pencil but will give you a precision line - black only
Bourjois felt tip liner - like a liquid liner but in pencil format with a felt tip (just like a khoki) to give you a liquid line effect that is really easy to apply.
