We’ve been trying out the Avroy Shlain Black Diamond Premium Noir fragrances for him and her. I was so excited to have the opportunity to review a fragrance because I’m always experimenting with different scents. Of course I have my favourites and my go-to perfumes, but it’s always great to try something new from a trusted cosmetics brand.
BLACK DIAMOND PREMIUM NOIR FOR HER:
As far as first impressions go, I initially had mixed feelings about the packaging. The black bottle was certainly unusual in comparison to anything else I’ve used before. However, it’s hard to ignore the intricate cut and chisel details on the bottle. This really brings the concept of a black diamond to life! Looking at the his and hers fragrances side by side, they certainly make the perfect pair.
What I love about the scent is the perfect combination of fruity and floral notes over a musky base. I never thought of myself as a fan of fruity fragrances and have always gravitated away from them in the past. In this case, I thoroughly enjoy the mix of raspberry, litchi and apple together with the rose, jasmine and freesia bouquets. I have always loved a musky aroma and the vanilla musk in the Black Diamond compliments the fragrance really well.
The Premium Noir for Her is so versatile, it’s great to wear for a work day at the office as well as for a night out on the town. Wearing it all day, I started to feel like the scent had faded, but I was still getting compliments by the evening. However, for the girl who might feel the need to refresh the scent later in the day, the bottle is compact enough to fit into any bag so you can take it wherever you go. I think this fragrance works really well with my skin and my natural scent. I’ve enjoyed it much more than I expected and it has definitely changed my view on fragrances like these.
BLACK DIAMOND PREMIUM NOIR FOR HIM:
This is the feedback I received about this product from my partner. His first impression of the fragrance was that the packaging was quite unique. There were a few areas of improvement noted. Firstly, he felt that a darker bottle with no transparency would give the fragrance a more sophisticated appeal. He also mentioned that he would have preferred the writing on the bottle to be raised or textured rather than flat and smooth. This would just give the product a more expensive look and feel. Overall, he liked the size and shape of the bottle and found it really comfortable to use.
He was not keen to give up his current trusted fragrance, but was open to trying something new. He found the scent to be rather strong at first, particularly when he sniffed it directly from the spray head. However, once it was applied and had had time to settle on the skin, he found it to be really pleasant and calming. He loved the fact that it didn’t leave any stains on white clothes.
The Premium Noir for Him seems like a good fragrance to use, despite its scent coming across a little strong. Based on my partner’s feedback, I would definitely recommend it to any man who would like to try something different or just add something new to their fragrance collection.
