I bought this at the suggestion of a blog called Whimsy is Forever - I have sensitive skin and was battling to get my makeup off properly, and read a post she'd made about Bioderma Micellar water.
Ever since then, I have constantly had a bottle of this on my bathroom shelf. While it's pricey, it's quality is better than any other micellar water I've tried, and it's so gentle on sensitive skin. I swipe this over my eyes and entire face, and it removes nearly every single scrap of makeup I have on, without any harsh scrubbing and washing.

This is a mild cleanser effective in removing impurities and makeup. It is soap free and has a neutral PH so my skin is left feeling clean but not dry and pulling. Impurities are removed but skin integrity remains in tact. I love the sensitive element to this product - not too harsh on my dry skin and enhanced with decongesting and smoothing properties to clean and treat skin. Ideal for removing waterproof makeup!
I've been using this product as a cleanser morning and evening for 6 months and I love it. (9 days out of 10, this is the only cleanser I use). It's the first cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin and still leaves my skin properly cleansed. It's perfect for anyone with sensitive skin as it is gentle, fragrance free and hypoallergenic. (Also, you can get this in your eyes by accident and it doesn't hurt at all!) Even if you don't have sensitive skin, you can still use this product as a makeup remover and follow with your normal cleanser.
I have read and heard so many wonderful things about Bioderma's Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution. It is a water based makeup remover that is said to remove makeup while soothing your skin. Another thing this promises is that you will not feel the need to wash your face after using this product.
At first I was rather hesitant to shell out R149 for in essence, a cup of water. I had purposefully worn quite a bit of makeup to see how this would work. The ingredients in the bottle do not scream traditional makeup remover, so I was rather sceptical when I started applying the product to the cotton wool.
I started running the cotton ball across my face and found that it easily removed the BB cream and blush on my face. But the true test was on my eyes, the eyeshadow came off incredibly easily but for the real test - the mascara - it came off rather easily. After 3 passes with the cotton wool the mascara was completely off. I tried this on waterproof mascara, but because this is water based, it does not remove the waterproof mascara easily. You do need to let the cotton balls rest on your eyes for a bit in order to remove the mascara easily. But this method does work.
After removing my makeup my face felt freshly washed with absolutely no sticky feeling. This is perfect for people who are in a rush or are too tired to remove their makeup, within a short while your face is perfectly clean and you can jump straight into bed.
The main reason why I have grown to like this product is that it does not irritate my eyes at all. With other makeup remover products I worry about getting the product in my eyes and they leave my skin feeling sticky aferwards - which makes me wash my face afterwards so it's an additional step I do not need because I hardly wear makeup, so washing my face is usually enough. This makeup remover is very gentle on my skin and doesn't irritate my eyes at all.
R149 for 250ml makes this seem rather pricey, but a bottle will probably last me at least 2 months. To me the cost is not too unreasonable because it does save me from having to use face wash at times (when I am too lazy to wash my face). I have only seen this product at Dischem so I am not too sure where else it can be bought.
This stuff is awesome... I don't have to rub rub rub my skin to get the make-up off which my sensitive skin likes. You don't need to rinse it off and it's not sticky (although you should still cleanse with your normal cleanser after use).
I was lucky to stumble across this product whilst watching a YouTube video and one of the makeup artists highly recommended it!
I've only been using it for about a month now and I absolutely love it! It cleanses skin, removes make-up and soothes all at the same time. The best feature is that this product can be used on both the face and eye area. It removes water-resistant makeup as well with no difficulty and it really will not irritate the eye area.
My skin tends to burn and go red with products containing alcohol so if you have a similar problem, you'll love that this product is alcohol-free and fragrance free.
Do remember to let your skin breathe though once your cotton pad comes away clean. You can then choose to tone or moisturise once dry.
The Bioderma Sensibio H2O retails at Dischem for R139.95 for 250ml
