Benefit High Bean is a liquid highlighter or illuminizer with a baby pink iridescent tint that leaves your skin with a beautiful glow. It comes in a small bottle and a brush that resembles the packaging for nail polish. It is a great highlight for the cheekbones and unique from other powder/cream highlighters in that it is subtle, soft and has just the right amount of beautiful dewy, glowy finish that looks incredible in natural as well as artificial light, yet adds so much more to your complexion. It’s not your typical shimmery highlighter as this gives your skin a more radiant look where the luminous look comes from a soft sheen rather than sparkles or glitter.

I got a mini version of this and I barely use it because it makes no difference to my look. I suppose it will work as a base for powder highlight. I thought that this product will be nice to use on days when I don't wear a full face but need to add some glow onto my skin but that is sadly not the case. I will try and use this in other ways to see if it is actually still worth having in my makeup collection.

You pay for what you get. It's pricey but it gives such a bright icy glow. It's cream based but sits nicely over top of powder if you forget and have to put it on later. It's quick to apply on the go, no brushes needed just fingers. Benefit does some pretty great highlighters. You can also use it on the lids for a subtle glow in the day time. So a good multi-use highlighter that isn't too obnoxious but definitely noticeable.

My sister bought this for me as a gift and it lay around for ages! In my mind i simply could not fathom why I would want to highlight or in my mind add shine to me face! This is a liquid pearlescent pink highlighter!then i had my face done professionally and saw how it should be used and how well it photographed! And then i started using it! The day i was wearing this i was exhausted, my skin was sallow and i looked away! After concealer powder bronzer the make up artist added this to my brow bone and dotted this on my cheek bones on Apple and just above the apple and i photographed looking like a film star! I still use this on my brow bone and on my cheeks as an illuminator when I'm going out! This is instant glamour in a bottle!

I'm reviewing the mini size/sample size bottle as that's the one I have. But it's exactly the same product as the normal sized bottle. The only difference is that with the small one the applicator is a wand and in the larger bottle it's a nail polish type stick. Ok, so onto the review. I LOVE love love this highlighter! Before I start with all the positives I will mention the only negative I have. It's not extremely blend-able. It does blend in, but requires quite a bit of patting and blending to create a more natural look. This might only be on my skin though.
If you pat 3 little dots along your cheek bone and blend upward towards the temple it creates a stunning effect when your face catches the light. You look professionally made-up and gives a fabulous illusion of having killer cheekbones. The colour is also gorgeous. It's a soft pink shimmer that also works well as a brow bone highlighter. You can add it to your moisturiser/foundation for an all over glow, but I haven't tried this yet. It has a great texture and once applied and blended it really looks stunning!

This product is THE BEST highlighter I have used, and looks great in photographs as well as in person. Friends always comment that my skin looks dewy when I use this product. This is a great product to use, especially if you have Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer. I normally contour my cheeks with Hoola, apply blush on the apples of my cheek and then add Benefit High Beam to my cheekbones. This product really adds the radiance back to your skin after applying medium to full coverage foundation, and I would definitely repurchase this product when it is finished.
I would recommend High Beam to girls with medium to light skin tones, and Moon Beam (which has a gold, bronzy tint) to girls with darker skin tones. Or you could just go to the counter and try both and see which effect you like more.
