I am a total TBS junkie, so when the Olive Beautifying Oil was released, it was only a matter of time before I gave it a try. This is the most versatile product I have ever used. Because it is so moisturizing, a little goes a very long way. I have been applying this to my damp hair all summer long, and I am left with soft, luscious waves. I am in love with the fresh scent, but will be trying other flavors soon :)

I am quite a fan of TBS's Body Oils. Firstly, knowing that moisturization is key to your skin and being one of those lazy people - I find that these body oils are amazing! Its easy to apply, not sticky and the smell is amazing (I have the moringa dry oil).

When I heard that The Body Shop was releasing a range of body and hair oils I was VERY happy to say the least. I use their Polynesia Monoi Miracle Oil all the time and had very high hopes for this oil.
The oil is a dry oil meaning that once applied to your skin it is absorbed entirely without leaving a greasy or sticky feeling on your skin. Within about 2 minutes your skin sucks up all the oil and you are left with beautifully hydrated looking skin. As with all oils one does have to get use to the amount of oil needed to coat your skin without having tons of the product left in your hands....but what's GREAT about that is you can use the excess oil on any place on your body that needs a little extra TLC. After I've spread the oil over my body I pat the excess onto my face as I find that is the perfect amount of oil for my face and neck area (the oil residue on my hand is near dry when I do this). You can also add the oil to your face cream - you'll only need 2 drops.
TIP: Add the oil straight after you've had a warm bath and pat dried your skin. Oil is better absorbed when the skin is warm and slightly wet.
As mentioned earlier, the oil can be used on your hair as well. I use to be very scared to use oils on my hair but have found that The Body Shop range of oils do wash off easily and don't weigh down my hair...again experiment with the amount of oil you need to moisturise the lengths of you hair and avoid placing any oil 5close to your roots. I literally put about 3 to 4 drops of oil on my hands, rub them together then brush my hands through the lengths of my hair. I do this about 20minutes before washing my hair to help moisturise my hair and to tame any frizz and fly-aways that I occasionally battle with. Oh, another thing you can do that works well, is to add a few drops to your conditioner - it gives it an extra boost. You can also smooth a drop of the oil into the palm of your hands and lightly brush it through dry hair. It gives your hair a beautiful shine and tames any frizz while leaving your hair with a beautiful scent!
The Recommended retail price is R99 for a 100ml bottle. To me this is a great price because I know how wonderful the body shop oils are and that they last incredibly well. I am not even half way through my Polynesia oil that I bought 4 months ago. What I especially love is that the oils come in all the favourite scents so you can choose an oil to suit your mood or season or to compliment your favourite body butter. The 11 fragrances are: Mango, Moringa, Coconut, Strawberry, Satsuma, Pink Grapefruit, Olive, Chocomania, Shea, Sweet Lemon and Cocoa Butter.
When purchasing my 2 bottles there were only 3 fragrances available - Moringa, Shea and Olive. I bought the Moringa and Shea. Both scents are amazing but my favourite so far is the Moringa - it is a warm white foral scent that isn't too overpowering. I can't wait to get my hands on the Grapefruit one because that is my favourite scented body scrub to use.
