Upon receiving this Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Radiance Blush the first thing I was struck by was the luxurious, expensive packaging, and I hadn't even taken it out of its box yet!
Housed in a substantial mirrored and gold compact embossed with the quintessential red door logo, the packaging just screams quality. No flimsy plastic packaging that breaks if you so much as look at it.
The second thing that struck me was the colour. The shade I'm testing is "pink pop" and this pink sure does pop. As I have very fair skin I love a nice pastel pink as it brightens my complexion without making my skin look ruddy or dirty.
I was most impressed by the application. As far as blushers go, there is a fine-line between being too sheer, as to be nearly imperceptible upon application, and too pigmented, making it difficult to blend and look natural. This blusher, however, gets the balance just right. It is highly pigmented but blends beautifully and the intensity can be built up upon further applications, for daytime, however, I find one sweep sufficient.
This has become one of the most prized items in my make-up box. Just opening up the opulent compact in the morning is enough to cheer me up.
