The Babyliss Twist Secret was no secret to me! When this range just hit the shores of SA I was completely obsessed and immediately purchased the Babyliss Curl Secret! When I read up on the Twist Secret and heard it was also going to be available in SA I knew I just had to have it, and thanks to Beauty Bulletin I received one free of charge!

When I was younger I had a similar hair tool, however instead of creating twists it created braids. I was more than thrilled to start experimenting again!

PACKAGING

The Twist Secret comes packaged in a compact cardboard box. The box contains the Babyliss Twist Secret along with a few instruction manuals.
The Babyliss Twist Secret is simple and easy to use. The Babyliss Twist Secret is battery operated. It requires 2 AA batteries, making it great to travel with and its pretty compact – so it can fit right into that big handbag of yours! However might I add I did struggle drastically while trying to unscrew the battery cap, so that is definitely a CON for me. Eventually I had to go in to Clicks to have them help me.

USAGE

Carefully clip two equal amounts of hair onto the grips. The “I” mode, twists the individual strands of hair. The “II” mode, twists these two strands of individual twists together, making a braid. It definitely is a bit tricky and takes some time to get used to, however practise makes perfect!

With some practice, I have learnt how to twist my hair but for now, I am still learning to incorporate these styles into functional hairstyles.

I am intrigued… Sounds amazing to be able to create amazing twist hairstyles and you don’t have to spend a lot of time on it and it is hand pain free.

The Twist Secret comes in cardboard box. The box has the twister and leaflet with instructions. The twister has a pretty simple design with basic function to twist. The twister is battery operated. It requires 2 AA batteries, making this a very simple tool to take with you when traveling. No need to panic and run to the shop now. There is a pair of batteries included in the box. SWEET DEAL!

Switching on the I mode, twists the hair. So, the two hair strands are twisted and creates two twists. Then switching on II mode, twists these two stands together. This then creates a twister braid and looks very similar to a ordinary plait.

With some practice, I have learnt how to twist my hair but for now, I am still learning to incorporate these styles into functional hairstyles. To be honest, this product works best if you have straight smooth hair and has to be combed out very thoroughly before twisting.

I have to say that this invention is super cool. I really love how effortless it is to create hairstyles with this hair tools. I simply love that this products does not apply any damaging heat to my hair, but I am still able to create amazing hair styles. This hair tool is very versatile and you’re able to create many different hair styles. You are only limited to your own imaginations.

I absolutely do trust Babyliss. I own a purple Babyliss hair straightener I bought it about two years ago and it hasn’t given me any problems. I would definitely recommend this product to all girls.

I seriously do enjoy experimenting with new hair styles. Sometimes I feel like a total different person by changing up my hair do.

This hair tool is really simple and easy to use. When I received this tool it seemed so complicated to use, but in actual fact it is so easy. I did not have to read the manual to see how this tool is operated. In the package with the hair twister I received 2 batteries and once you install those batteries it is as easy as pie. After installing the batteries you don’t have to do much, but there are two compartments you clip your hair into and there is a switch that gives you control to twist your individual stands of hair you clipped in. After you have twisted your individual hair stands with the same switch by pressing the switch the opposite way the individual twisted stands turns into one big twist.

I was recently part of the word-of-mouth project for the Babyliss Twist Secret.
At first, it was easy to use but it does create a lot of knots in the hair and didn't last through the day. I was quite excited to try it out, but was a bit disappointed. However, I would recommend this product to any hair enthusiasts. It is a great Christmas for anyone who loves trying new things and who wants something different.

I'm obsessed with my #BabylissTwistSecret - I can't think of something cooler to use on my hair!

I love that it's so easy to handle and also that it's battery powered! That makes it so much better as I can take it wherever I go! ?

The price is great and also it comes in lovely packaging. All my friends want to use it as well - guess I won't be seeing it all that much.

I really love it and I love the boho looks it can give me!

There are a few pro's and cons of this product but overall a wonderful product.

A pro would be the quick and effortless twists that are created. Those with thick hair are able to make twists easier. It is battery operated and portable.

The cons would be that those with layered hair will definitely have a difficult time creating neat twists and the clasps don't hold alot of hair therefore only creating small twists. The hair can often get tangled, especially thick hair.

However this product is definitely at a great price and can create effortless hairstyles especially throughout the summer rush.

I found the Babyliss Twist Secret to be quite handy and easy to use. I tend to have a million fly aways at the front section of my hair and managed to hide it with the Babyliss Twist Secret :-)

I've tried using it when my hair was both curly and straight and found that it's not as visible/noticeable when I use it with my hair in curly mode. My 9 year old daughter will most likely be taking it over more so than I, as she's IN LOVE with it!

I am a huge fan of Babyliss. I have been using a Babyliss straightener for years, and have convinced both my sisters to become loyal Babyliss users. So I was very excited to try the Babyliss Twist Secret.

I watched a bunch of reviews on Youtube to see what I was in for before I received the product. To be honest, based on the European reviews, I was quite disappointed when I received the Twist Secret and it didn't have add-ons. All of the girls in the European reviews showcased extra products that came in the box - strings and clips and exciting things, but sadly, the South African version does not come with these goodies. :(

I had a bit of a misconception of the product's abilities, which is probably my fault... I assumed that this product would be the answer to my braiding needs. I can only really make a traditional braid, and so badly want to do more. So when I realised that "Quick and Easy Braids" actually meant twists only, I was gutted.

Nevertheless, I soldiered on!

I tried the #BabylissTwistSecret first on one of my colleagues, who was going to an event. We really had such a good laugh, because it was a lot more difficult to get a result that looks like something than we expected... Ultimately, we managed to make a boho-inspired Grecian look, and she got complimented all night.

I really like that the Twist Secret is portable, battery operated and simple to use.

I would recommend this product for girls who have medium to thick hair, that holds a style well in general. On my hair, the twists unravelled so quickly and I got a little disheartened.

I will say, though, that the product is easy to use. You simply clip your hair into the two hair clips. Push the button up for individual twists, and then down to create a single twist from the two strands. (making something from those twists is a little harder though!)

I am going to post a video or two of ideas that I have, which could make your life a little easier.

I think this product is great for girls who love experimenting with new hairstyles. Just keep plenty of grips and holding spray/wax handy!

I was very excited to try out the BaByliss twist. I have quite frizzy hair (when not straightened) so i was curious to see how the Babyliss worked on my hair.

Well i tried to use it without watching any tutorial videos and at first my hair got twisted in the small tweezer hooks (not a good start).

So i decided to go back to the drawing board and watch a few videos before attempting my second try...and well...just like that Wow, so easy, amazing twirls and designs...now i'm hooked into trying new designs and can't wait to try it out on my sisters hair later....as im sure if its easy to use on ones own hair it will be even easier to use on someone else's hair.
I must just make one note that its advisable to brush your hair first to avoid the hair knotting and to make the more complicated designs easier to do. But all in all a really great product with fantastic results.!

I have always seen the Babyliss twist secret at Clicks and have always wanted to try it out, I had also seen that there are hair accessories available to use in conjunction with the hair tool. Once I recieved my Babyliss twist secret I went looking for the Babyliss hair accessories to try out some looks with them but it seems as if Clicks has discontinued them.

I love Babyliss hair tools I own a Babyliss tool used to create big waves and it works wonderfully. Babyliss tools are affordable and great quality.

So firstly when I opened the box I seen that the styler comes with batteries so it is battery operated and there's no need to worry about cords and plugs yay. Even though the tool being portable I don't entirely trust batteries they do not last very long so I suggest that after each use remove the batteries to make them last longer. It would have been nice if the tool was rechargable..just a thought. I wanted to use the tool right away but I had seen that the battery cover is screwed in and I could not find a screw driver at the time. So the battery cover being screwed in is a good idea as I always tend to lose the remote battery cover and some times the batteries fall out which I hate, but also if you don't have a screw driver at hand it can be a little frustrating.

To my surprise the Babyliss twist secret is quite small which I love as it fits perfectly in my hand and it is light which makes this tool easy to use.

The hair tool has two tweezers at the top to clip the hair in and the top part of the tool rotates to twist the hair. There are two settings, setting one and setting two. The first setting is to create single twists with two strands of hair and the second setting is to twist the two single twists into one thicker twist. What I like about this tool is that you can let your imagination run wild and create all types of looks from romantic,  natural and hippie chic. Not only can you use the tool to create amazing twists but also to create your own head bands. How amazing is that! You can also style up your twists by keeping them in place with cute clips, hair jewellery and head chain and bands.

This hair tool is easy to use and creates twists in just seconds so you don't have to hurt your arms twisting your hair with your fingers. Since a young age I have always loved experimenting with different hair styles I have had corn rows, braids you name it I probably had it done at one stage. I always use to beg my mum to create a new hairstyle for me every day (hated when she brushed my hair though).

When I put in the batteries I gave the Babyliss twist secret a try but it did not work out so well as my hair was way too oily. I suggest that you wash and blow dry your first before using the hair tool if you have oily hair. The boho look is on trend this summer so this tool is perfect to create some amazing boho styles. Step 1: Brush out your hair, select a style you would like to create and start sectioning your hair.
Step 2: Once you have divided/sectioned your hair in to smaller sections, Take 2 strands of hair and insert it into the Babyliss Twits Secret Clips.
Step 3: Push up the button and it will start twisting your hair, then stop and press the button down to twist your hair into a braid.

The #BabylissTwistSecret tool is great and is a great idea. Personally i have a few layers in my hair and it does not work well with that as not all the hair was gripped and it tangled up a bit.
People will just need to be careful and precise with this tool - as to avoid any tangling or breaking of the hair.
Otherwise this tool creates really fabulous hairstyles - the twists come out really polished and pretty. It is overall a great, easy and simple tool to use.

I personally enjoy using the babyliss twist secret and I would recommend it to people.
It is easy to use and it is very quick and portable. It assists me with braiding my hair, doing Bantu knots, twist outs and many more.
For those who have course hair like me it's is difficult to use certain things but with the twister secret all you have to do is make sure that your hair is détangled well and you are ready to go.

3 hairstyles I’ve created with the Babyliss Twist Secret

1) The festival look
With this look, I loosen my hair, make two mini buns on the top of my head and twist pieces of my hair that’s hanging lose.
2) The princess look
This is super easy, i twist two front pieces of my hair and pin it together at the back of my head.
3) The mini-buns
I create twist with all of my hair and tie them into mini buns, i keep them in the entire day and when i loosen them i have easy waves.

This tool is great to add to your hair tool collection and i'm loving it!

I've always loved Babyliss as a brand, I am quite fond of their curling irons and other tools, so i was super excited to try this baby out!

I loved the design on this product, no fancy complicated buttons. .The actual twisting method only required three steps, 1) secure the hair, 2) push button 1 to twist up, and 3) push button 2 to twist down.I also appreciated that it came with batteries, so I could pop them in and get twisting straight away at anytime and any place.
It's not to big or heavy so you can throw it into your bag and your good to go!

I found that if your hair is not brushed out and unknotted you will have a difficult time achieving a nice neat twist. I would recommend straightening your hair and using a serum to smoothen everything out prior to use. I also would recommend keeping some bobby pins on hand to secure the twists.

I found that getting the hang of this product was really easy, I was able to create a gorgeous romantic hairstyle, using this product and I loved how tightly the twist remained!

I do love #BabylissTwistSecret, there are load of tutorials on Babyliss.com which will allow you to create lots of gorgeous styles!

This product is a bit expensive, I would suggest this if you do love experimenting with your hair, and trying out different looks.

I often get bored with my hair and love trying different styles when I have the time, so I was very excited to try out the Babyliss Twist Secret. I was also attracted to the fact that it creates the braids and twists for you (the secret ;)).

If you were a fly on the wall you would understand the reason for my joy at a styling tool that would do the work for you! Yes, I have tried many hairstyles but seem to often fail miserably. This time was no exception..

The first time I tried the Babyliss Twist Secret was not easy. Threading the hair through the tweezers without coming out took a few tries to get the hang of it as well as getting the direction in which you twist to be right without making a funny twist and loosen the hair out of the tweezers. It certainly takes a few tries, but with anything, it takes practice to perfect. I must say though, it is challenging with shorter hair that has different lengths.

I enjoy a challenge though and am loving experimenting with the twister, trying various styles. I have been practicing, trying to come up with new styles, which I will share with you as I perfect them.

The Babyliss Twist Secret is well priced and creates fabulous twists and braids - far better than I can create by hand! Being battery operated is a fantastic feature - no need to plug it in, have electricity and very easy to transport. The only negatives I have is that you need a small screwdriver to open the battery section - it took some time and effort to get it open.

I would certainly recommend the twister to anyone who enjoys doing hairstyles. It's quick to use, perfect for those days when you don't have much time but want to spice up your hair. I received the product and my first impression was quite intimidating.. but before i knew it i was twisting with ease. Its easy to use, good quality and really effective and rolling those twists into unusual and interesting hairstyles. I think it would take a bit of practice and skill to get it neat ( as i am not the best hair stylist )

So i tried my best and am quite happy with the results.

Some tips would be:
- The tighter the curl the better!
- Twist all the way to the end of the strand of hair.
- Less is more.
- This might be an obvious one, but make sure you brush your hair first.

I would recommend it to anyone wanting to try something new with their hair.

The Babyliss Twist Secret styling tool is a nifty gadget that fits in the palm of your hand. It twists and styles hair easily with no need for hassle. It does the messy work for you. I love how you can just take two strands of hair and turn it into the perfect twist braid, that looks like a professional do...

I tried something different and not the usual twists and braids. Instead i tried creating a sleek bun, and i am pleased with the great results.

I prefer to use less hair than one would think, less is more in this case.
Also make sure that you do twist them tight enough all the way up to the root or all the way down to where your strands of hair are all the same length, otherwise the ends will just pop out and a do over would be necessary.
Make sure your hair are free of knots and the Babyliss Twist Secret will do the work for you.

I would recommend this to all hair junkies who is always on the lookout for a new hip hairstyle.

The Twist Secret is a very ingenius idea on BaByliss's part. Instead of doing the tedius work of plaiting and twisting your hair, you can use this simple little machine that does all the messy work for you!

You start off with putting two pieces of hair into the clips on the machine. Pushing up those clips was a tad bit of a nightmare, but the rest is a breeze: simply swipe up or down. Swiping up will twist each section of the hair, and swiping down will twist the two twists together into an even bigger twist. Does that make sense? Take note that the twists do tend to loosen after you unclip your hair from the machine. Also, as easy as it is to use, you'd probably still need help (in my case, my mom's) when doing styles that look snazzy at the back.

The machine is very easy to hold and I can fit it into my little bag. No wires, no mess, no fuss (it even comes with batteries too).

The styles that you can create are absolutely endless, and what I have done is just the tip of the iceberg. You can easily create UNIQUE and BEAUTIFUL hairstyles with a fraction of the effort and time! However, the proof is in the pudding and you can see the hairstyles that I created in my photos. I can assure you that people will be questioning and complimenting you all day!

I would recommend this product to people who like to play around with hairstyles. In fact, I don't see why a hair stylist couldn't use it either. For R399, you cannot go wrong.

For its price point, I really think that this is a fantastic product. It's not rocket science to figure out how to use it and I'm almost convinced that even a toddler would be able to rock a fancy 'do with this #BabylissTwistSecret. I think I might have had more fun playing around with it and being able to create so many gorgeous hairstyles is a major bonus. This is perfect for a date night where you really want to leave a good impression or just having a chic boho style for the beach date with the girls. Be ready for a flood of compliments!

About the product:
It's a battery operated styling tool (2 batteries are included in the box),so you can take it anywhere with you, no need to worry about plugs. It's very easy to use.

How to use it:
It's as easy as 1,2,3!
Step 1: Lift up the pink holders, once lifted place the hair strands in and release. The hair will now be secured in the pink holder.

Step 2: It has 2 settings. Now you press up to the first setting. This will individually twist the hair.

Step 3: Now you press down to the 2nd setting. This will twist the hair together as a braid.

Style as desired.

And you're done!

My experience :
I really like the idea of being able to create fun and cool hairstyles in a few minutes. You can quickly add a few twists to transform your hairstyle. For me this what I like the most about the product, because I'll have a 7:45 class in the mornings and I'd normally just make a bun or let my hair hang loose. But with this product I'm able to create a fun, cool hair style in 4 minutes.

Did I mention how easy it is to use? All you have to do is look at the 3 step instruction guide on the box,and you'll be ready to make some twists.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves experimenting with different hairstyle, event to moms with daughters, they will love this product.

I received the #BaBylissTwistSecret on the 25th of this month. It is available at Clicks- the electrical haircare destination store- duh! It retails for R399. [FYI: Clicks now offers the new click and collection online store platform *hint hint*]

When I got my parcel I immediately dug into it and I was surprised at what was inside! I LOVE BaByliss appliances. Obviously, I ran to my go-to beauty guide- YouTube!

The little gadget is made up of: tweezers, a head rotation switch and push buttons. The controls on the push buttons are pretty simple. There are three “settings”: a 0 setting, I setting and a II setting. It is such a reasonable size! It’s large enough to be held sturdily with one hand without being clumsy. The size is also great in terms of portability and traveling with it will be a BREEZE!

As always, anything seems easier on YouTube. During my first attempt, I found it a bit hard to clip my hair into the tweezers. Once I got the hang of that I started twisting away! It took me less than a minute to do the classic “pig-tails” hairstyle and it didn’t budge the entire day! I also managed to do a normal plait without any hassles. I usually struggle and I can only make a side plait. I also created a dual-textured braid and a five-strand braid. Its EXCEPTIONALLY easy to use once you get the hang of it, which doesn’t take long. Its undoubtedly effortless way to look chique.

When creating my different hairstyles I had to decide how tight I wanted my braids to be- that told me how much to twist my hair with my new gadget. Be sure not to twist your hair too tightly as it can be uncomfortable. When I put my hair mid-length into the tweezers I found that I did create some knots in my hair. This can easily be avoided by simply moving the #BaBylissTwistSecret down your hair as you do the twisting. Nothing a little practice can’t fix.

The array of hairstyles you can make are honestly endless. Its literally all up to you and your imagination. All a girl needs with this is her faithful bobby pins, hair bands and a few fancy grips if she’s hitting the town. I LOVE this gadget because I am a self-proclaimed lazy girl. Seriously. Being at varsity means that my head is always in my books so my hair is forever in a ponytail- BOO! Having this gadget means that I get to have amazing hairstyles EVERY morning without sacrificing any sleep! Can I get a yaaaas?


I would recommend this to ALMOST everyone: from beauties with shoulder-length hair to beauties with very long hair. For R399, I think that the price is a tad high, since you can get a hairdryer for that price. I got a BaByliss hairdryer 2012 and its STILL working like I got it yesterday! My braids held for the ENTIRE day so this product gets a MASSIVE thumbs up from me!

Lets start off with the look and feel.
The Babyliss Twist Secret comes in a beautiful black box that looks so cool! Most definitely appealing to the eye! I must say it is very secure which speaks very well to the quality of the product. The Twist Secret comes with 2 AA batteries which is amazing and rounds off the product well because you don't need to purchase anything extra. The physical look of the styler is very sophisticated and chic. It is black and pink and easy to hold. (I have attached pictures below of how it looked when I opened it. #SoExcited)

Love at First use.
The Twist Secret is very easy and simple to use. It has 2 grips which allow you to grip 2 strands of hair into it. You then push the button up to twist the individual pieces of hair and then down to twist the 2 pieces together... Yep thats all it is to it! I love this because I can do many different styles with my hair effortlessly and without heat! Finally a product that doesn't damage my hair.

My experience?
I love, love, love the Babyliss Twist Secret! Not only is it a great brand of a haircare product you also know you paying for quality and ease. I will definitely recommend this BabyLiss Twist Secret to all my friends and family because it that every day all day product that will never let you down when you need to look your best!

The Babyliss Twist Secret has been both a mission and heaven to use. I had to spend a lot of time using the product but after a while I got used to using it and fell in love with it. Initially when I got the product I wanted to try it on my own hair, and I would use my hair as the subject of the experiment, however I soon realised that I wanted to reach a much wider audience in terms of hair types. The biggest issue when I told my peers about the product was that they spoke of it as a product created only for Caucasian hair – which I knew was not the case. So my goal became that I should prove to the wider audience that this product caters for more than one certain hair type. Therefore most of the hairstyles I created I used natural ethnic hair and braids – just so I could reach out to the audience within that hair group.
Using the product wasn’t very easy at first. I found that I had to spend a lot of time working with it so I could get used to it. After a while it became easier and I could do different hairstyles quicker. So for any person buying this, I really suggest that you spend some time working with the product and getting used to it. Don’t give up if it doesn’t work out as you want it the first, second or third time. It does take a bit of getting used to.
The photos attached below include a protective hairstyle for natural hair (twists) as well as hairstyles done strictly on braids.

I really had fun with this product! It was quick and easy to figure out! I think Clicks and Babybliss have a good product and ask for a good price!

I have been using the Babyliss twist secret now for the past 5 days all thanks to Beauty Bulletin :) Everyday I tried to create a new hairstyle, the results of each hairstyle were incredible, easy to do and took only about 1 minute to do.

Babylis is a hairstyling tool brand that I am quite familiar with. My very first hair straightened I ever owned was a babylis back in 2006 the hair styling tool, lasted me a good few years, till my darling sister stepped on it and what tragic end that was! On that note I was rather keen on giving the babylis twist secret hair styling tool a go.
My experience with the product at first was a confusing one as I had no idea how to use the product a, because I believe instructions are for losers but after sucking it up and actually reading the instruction I found the product easy to use. The babylis twist secret is travel friendly as you only a need pair of batteries and its convenient to access at any given time plus it's cordless so need to carry extra adaptors with on holiday. The fact the product is heatless, is one of my favorite features, especially if you trying to lay of the heat for a while in order to make your healthy again. With this products there no need to have a bad hair cause you not using any hair styling tools with heat to protect your hair. I found the babylis twist secret to be rather time sufficient in a sense that, if I had to twist my hair without using the styling too it would take me a little longer than when I used the hair styling tool. The babylis has two different setting which allows for you to create various hair styles. I was able to create beautiful boho looking hair styles which are perfect for this summer time. One tip, making sure your hair is completely detangled, as it =makes for more defined twists. I would recommend the babylis twist secret if you a lazy girl looking for an easy way out, or if you trying to lay of hair styling tool with heat, than this definitely for you. When I received the package from Beauty Bulletin I was very excited because if you've seen me on the BB website before, you'll know I love creating hair videos and experimenting with hairstyles. I loved the little box in which the product came because it's very convenient for travel if you love creating hairstyles on the go.

I tried making my video as short as possible, however that just could not happen because there are endless possibilities and I ended up creating 4 different hairstyles with this!

It's very easy to use and convenient. Push the power lever up once and it twists your strands, push it down and it braids the hair.

I think people who love experimenting with hairstyles will love this product.

The only cons that I could point out was that it had a screwdriver attachment at the back which was a nightmare to remove and my dad had to come to the rescue. This is only a bummer because when you need to change out the batteries you need to have a screwdriver available. The other con was that you can only put tiny strands of hair into the machine for smaller braids but this isn't that bad and it's still a pretty nifty gadget!

Hey guys, thanks to Beauty Bulletin I got to try out this. It’s a really unique and brilliantly weird device Setting I twists each strand of hair individually. Setting II twists them together into a braid. I can't get it right to do braids from the scalp at the moment. I think it's really cool because it operates with batteries. It does take some playing around with to get the hang of it....... because I did get my hair tangled in it a few times, need more time to practice. But It's a big time saver. I have only done one style will be updating more styles soon. I tried it out on my damp hair as well and it works fine, btw you need a very small screwdriver to remove the cover for where the batteries go. you can get it at clicks it's going for R280 at the moment that's a big saving. With sometime it's a really nice product. I will be sure to update with pics of how other styles work out. #BabylissTwistSecret

This product arrived and immediately i felt sad because , i thought i wouldn't be able to use it because we still have load shedding in my area, but to my surprise i was completely wrong as this product is a cordless product and it operates with batteries , so for me this is a huge advantage because this for me saves electricity and with it being cordless and small its easy to travel with.

The first day of using it , i must admit it is a little tricky at first because i kept on confusing myself with pushing the switch up when i was suppose to be pushing it down and this only created tangles in my hair , but i soon got the hang of it .
another struggle for me was the fact that my hair wasn't even so it was a little hard to twist my hair.
after five days of using this product i showed some of my friends and my non white friends said no they cant use this product as its white people things so then i decided to put on braids and see if this product could work with artificial hair and OMG this product works absolutely fine with braids and braids is where your hair is already braided , i will put in pictures of the hairstyles i made with my braided hair and i will create a video where ill show you guys how to create the styles effortlessly.


In all this product was really cool to use , i enjoyed creating different hair styles and i would totally recommend it to others.

What will you find in the box?

You will see you're Twist Secret which comes in the colour of black and pink. It is also battery operated (which is great, no cords to get stuck with)

Also inside you'll find a manual which gives you some tips on how to use it and ideas on which you can further create.

I used the Secret Twist on both my and my sisters hair. I found it easier to use on my hair, which was shorter. Also it would be much harder to use on uneven lengths of hair since in will unevenly braid your hair. I would recommend taking pieces of the same length.

At some stages I found it difficult to use, when putting the hair in the slots, I would accidently press the button resulting in hair getting tangled up.

On a more positive note. I enjoyed creating new hairstyles with this styling tool. I think you can really let the creative juices flow with this one and create whatever look you want to.

I didn't find it that easy to use, but it is probably cause I'm not used to it. With some practice I think I'll manage it more comfortably.
