Ever since I started growing out my hair, I have struggled to find a shampoo that effectively removes oil and residue, whilst still leaving it moisturised , preventing dandruff, frizz and hair loss. With almost every shampoo I previously tried, there was always a trade-off and disappointment after a few uses. This product seems to maintain the perfect balance for longer length, colour treated hair. I think it suits my fine textured hair which quickly gets oily at the roots but remains very dry at the tips. My hair is left smooth and sleek , with very little need for deep conditioning and styling aids. My hair colour appears richer for longer and not dull, flat and faded. It invigorates my sensitive scalp, hair and senses with calming wild ginger and the refreshing fragrance delicately lingers all day long. The price is quite steep for a small shampoo tube, but certainly worth it as it is a salon quality product and only a little is required due to it lathering very well. It is perhaps better classified as a clarifying shampoo for use once every few days to strip hair of residue buildup. I would swop my current shampoo to this if I could afford buying it regularly and if I get the same results on a consistent basis. I decided to try this product just so that I could enter my review for the September 2012 VIP Monthly Challenge on a favourite Paul Mitchell product that I simply could not live without and currently I think this is it. I found the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Moisturising Lather Shampoo to be an absolutely awesome treat for my hair. I can definitely understand why it has won so many awards internationally.
