Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayon: Reddy for Me, Risque Rose and Sweetly Pink

it has too much glitter and not very nice on the lip ... its like wearing sand on your lips .. waste of money

Gives you the most perfect look for your skin tone and it makes u look fantastic :)

My reason for now sticking to lip crayons are as follows, Lip moisturisers like Vaseline, lip ice, and or balms, do what they are supposed to do, keep my lips moisturised, but they don’t add any colour..Lip gloss is nice, and sexy but things can get soooo sticky, and at times I don’t even feel comfortable kissing anyone cause I fear I might get stuck somewhere between their lips and their cheeks.. Lipsticks are a girls must haves especially when you want to leave a good impression, but then I need tissues for every touch up as at times it tends to bleed all over my lip line and that’s a definite downer... But Ladies, there is some good news; Lip Crayons is my new best friends!!! I’ve detailed some pros and cons below, and as you can see for yourself, the pro`s are out weighing the cons which means these Avon Lip Crayons are winners, so I’m sticking to them, and you should give it a try too..As it’s just plain said Fun! With Avon, what you see is what you get!!
Pros:
-reasonably priced, retailing for R62, 95 per Lip Crayon (Brochure 10, 2013)
-No sharpener shavings- as you can easily twist up the crayon to regain the original pointed tip.
-colours are suitable for all skin tones, dark, medium and fair skinned ladies.
-contains vitamin e and Shea butter, which is very moisturising on the lips.
-crayons provide intense colour which pays off as one does not necessarily have to re-apply it each hour on the hour.
-lip crayon formula contains both lipstick and a lip liner which saves us ladies a few Rands, and with the tight budgets, this is definitely welcome!! ;-)
-the chunky medium sized lip crayon makes the crayons application easy to glide on and leaves for no mess.
-the design and the packaging of these crayons are so cute, with each lip crayon displaying his unique colour at the bottom, and a sleek black finish to the rest of the crayon, illustrating each unique name on the side of the crayon.
-Avon Lip Crayons are shimmery so there is no need to apply any gloss over these crayons once they`ve been applied to the lips.
-Funky Names of lip crayons makes me want to try and test them one by one, i.e.: reddy for me(red), sweetly pink, notice me nude and risqué rose carefree coral, fresh fuchsia to name a few.
Cons:
-crayons contain plenty of glitter, which I love but some users won’t find it very comfortable on their lips
-colours are more suited for night use rather than daytime, as it leans towards the darker shades

**Thanks again Beauty Bulletin and Avon, it’s been an absolute pleasure and a wonderful journey, from my first few weeks, of trying out these 3 Ultra Colour Lip Crayons, to finding out and experimenting with them, in doubling up these lip crayons as a lip bronzer/shimmer what a great find!! ;-) I absolutely love using the reddy for me (red colour) on my cheeks gives me such a glamorous shine!
I feel because these crayons are made only by using the best ingredients and Shea Butter along with SPF 15, all that’s truly needed to make these babies even better is every unique individual lady, whether you are young or a little bit older, (or even just young at heart) only YOU, yes YOU lovely ladies can take these Ultra Colour Lip Crayons a level up and make it even BETTER and much more BEAUTIFUL!! ;-)

Firstly, thank you Beauty Bulletin and Avon for choosing me to review the Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayons. It’s been such a wonderful experience especially since I’ve gotten great results from using these products. Thanks for being generous and sending me 3 Lip Crayons to test, try and review. I love, these crayons, as I’ve found them useful and used them for not only my lips but my cheeks as well. The glitter in these crayons are amazing as it leaves my skin all shimmery and since its safe and enriched with Shea butter, I’ve found it okay to double up as a bronzing kind of a blusher on my cheeks!! ;-) The fact that no sharpener is necessary, since one can easily turn to rotate the crayon as it gets used, is so convenient and mess free!! ;-) These crayons are medium in size, which make them easy to grip and application goes on smoothly without any hassles. Colour Payoff gets a 4/5, since these crayons don’t need to be applied every hour on the hour; I’ve found that application is required every few hours!! ;-) Overall, I love Avon Lip Products and I’ve even taken a few snaps of my lipstick collection. Avon has proven itself to be not only an amazing Brand, but a trustworthy brand, as only the best ingredients are used when producing these cosmetics. I feel it is relatively important for a cosmetic user to be confident in their brands, and I can truly say that Avon is my worry-free brand, because I know only the best goes in to produce the best possible products. And thanks Beauty Bulletin, now I can add 3 new lip crayons to my Avon Lip Collection. Ladies, very important, I make use of a lip brush to apply lipsticks, but I’ve noticed with these crayons it has not been necessary to make use of the lip brush, reason being- these crayons contain a lip liner infused in a lipstick, so no lines gets drawn on before the lip crayons gets applied. Unlike when one use a lipstick, it is absolutely important to make use of a lip lining pencil, to fill in lips here a lip applicator brush can be used to make the application of lipstick go on easily and fill in the lip to give it a fuller appearance. Pricing is now concluded to be R69 rand per Crayon as per latest Avon Catalogue, which I feel is a reasonable price for a double use product! ;-)

So After Making use of the Avon lip crayons for about 3 weeks
I’ve realised these lip crayons can be used as more than just a lip crayon... ;-)
I have mentioned this before that the glitter particles in these crayons are amazing!! ;-)
So I mixed things up a little...
I made use of these Avon lip crayons on not ONLY MY LIPS but also MY CHEEKS and contouring my outer corners of my eyes...
And the results I got were just Amazing!!
I’ve uploaded some pictures, to illustrate to you ladies how I’ve contoured my outer side of my eyes, nose, and cheeks.
I made use of all three Avon Lip Crayon Colours, which are Reddy for Me, Sweetly Pink and Risque Rose.

My favourite is Reddy for me (which is the reddish lip crayon). When I applied this lip crayon to my cheeks, it turns out and makes such a great blush, the added shimmer, requires no adding of any bronzer to my skin. I absolutely love these lip crayons...

Another benefit is that the glitter in these crayons hasn’t irritated my skin at all, unlike some other lip crayons I’ve used in the past, which caused my skin to flame up. To remove the lip crayon from either my lips or cheeks, i simply make use of a baby wipe, which removes the crayon in one sweep!! Easy on, easy off!! =no hassles so I’m a happy customer!!

Go on ladies, give it a go!! I promise you won’t be disappointed at all!

So ladies i have been testing and trying out these crayons for the past two going on three weeks now. And I`ve found all kinds of uses for them..photo`s to follow.
I cant stop bringing across how much i love the glittery effects in theses crayons its because of this component that I ended up doubling the use of these crayons and its been working like a bomb! ;-)

Also the smell, as mentioned before, each crayon tends to lean towards a fruity kind of smell, unique to each own one, although the funky names doesnt quite tie up to it.. Sweetly pink, Risque Rose, and Reddy for me (red in colour, this is my favourite one!!! ).

So below I will display each of the looks I ended up with when reviewing each one of my Lip Crayons, Sweetly Pink, Risque Rose and Reddy for me (which is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE!! ;-) )..
Sweetly Pink: This crayons colour suits me, the only real issue I had was that the glittery parts in it seems to be much more coarse and harsh, than the other two crayons components, nevertheless I still love it..

Risque Rose: Is a softer tone of brown mixed with pink, and this colour is nice, however it does seem to picture real shiney, and sometimes gave me the impression that I was wearing a lipgloss instead of a lip crayon (which is a mix between lipstick and lipliner)..hmmm gives you some food for thought hey ladies...

get those thinking caps on i say!!

Reddy for me: this is the red tone, omw I love red on me, just makes me sparkle in the sense and I have nothing bad to say about this tone or this avon product, hence you`ll only be getting praises from me.. ;-) please see pictures for much more detail and looks..

*once again, this size of this crayon allows one to perfectly grip the product for means of easy application, another thing I love is the sleek look black packaging, the crayon is displayed in, and the colour of each crayon being illustrated at the bottom, makes the shopping purposes so much easier, then one doesnt need to open the crayon hence, take off the top to see the colour!!! ;-)

Ladies I can all but praise these crayons, taking it off was a breeze, i use baby wipes to take off any lip products as the wipes contain a moisturiser which means its not as harsh as using just tissues, etc.

Ive noticed that the other products included in this New Make-up Range for Lips, all include SPF15 products which are (Ultra Glazewear Lipgloss, Perfect Kiss Lipgloss, Perfect Kiss Lipstick, Ultra Colour Rich Lipstick), besides the Lip Crayon which does not contain the SPF 15 component. So I decided that because I gave you some info on what the Lip Crayon Ingredients like Shea Butter and Vitamin E are all about, I will detail the SPF 15 Ingredient briefly to you Beauty Bulletin Ladies as well!!

Firstly, because the lip crayon does not contain SPF 15 Im oh so thankful to Avon for including nourishing components like Shea Butter and Vitamin E in it, for some protection. The Lip Crayon not containing SPF 15 is a small and only downer for me, thus far regarding this product ;-(

SPF or Sun Protection Factor, is a measure of any sunscreens ability to prevent UVB from damaging the skin. Using an SPF 15 sunscreen or Lipstick/Lipgloss theoretically prevents redding of lips 15 times longer –which comes down to about 5 hours. Most sunscreens with an SPF 15 or higher do an excellent job of protecting against UVB.
The ultra-moisturizing base ingredients would provide protection from wind, salt and cold, keeping your lips happy and smiling ;-))
All of these lovely Lippee products are compact and oh so very easy to carry around with you, anywhere you might end up needing protection plus you get to look fabulous at the same time !! so it’s a win-win situation ladies!!

So I havent really touched on these Lip Crayons Pricing, because I had to do some research. Compared to most other lip crayones, i.e: Clinique`s chubby Sticks`, the Avon Lip Crayon retails for a price thats relatively cheap. According to my Avon Consultant (my bff-Bianca) its still a product that needs to be launched, but pricing will be roughly round about R112-R118 per Avon Lip Crayon, which is cheap, cheap!! ;-) Smiles all round ladies, because our budgets are smiling too!!!

One thing i love about the Avon Lip Crayons are the funky, chuckly, names they come out with. Hence, Reddy for me, Sweetly Pink, Notice me Nude, Carefree Coral,etc. It makes me want to try out all of the available shades, as each one, almost has its own PeRsoNaLitY!! (^^,)..

Also the size of these crayons are not thin, but they also not too thick (jumbo) in size. The size is just perfect to give me the right amount of grip when it comes to a smooth round of application!! And the result: is smooth shiney lips, with the brightest amount of colour!! Love it!! ;-)

Each Avon Lip Crayon also has a particular smell to it. I cant quite place the smell, but im sure to describe it to all the beauty Bulletin ladies, as I go along reviewing each one of these gems..

So Ladies, today im trying and testing my Avon Lip Crayon at work. Firstly, I decided on the Reddy for Me Colour(which is red) because im feeling super fabulous today. To get the shade of this tone I wanted, I applied two full sweeps of the Lip Crayon to my lips and that was 9am this morning. I have had to re-apply the crayon only once since my tea time break at 10am. And even if I do say so myself, the colour and tone is well visible.

The Avon Lip Crayon is thus long lasting, where colour is concerned and also, one thing I like about it is that its very moisturising..
i dont need to apply, any bi products like vaseline, or gloss or anything, lips just look shimmery which I love and it feels great!!

The Avon True Color Technology is to be praised for this, as it in its own unique way, renews the color each time and brings a burst of fresh new color to ones lips ;-) happines is me ladies!!!

Ladies i cant get enough of the convenience of not having to carry around a sharpener in my very small makeup bag i carry along to work.. makes my life so much easier.. love, love, love
