AVON True Colour Duo

I loved the nude shade and found it versatile. However, the blue isn't a typical colour that I would use. I really like how highly pigmented these shadows are and they barely have any fall-out.

The colour stayed in place the whole day, although as an eye-rubber, I had to remind myself constantly to keep my hands away from my eyes.

I was happy to have received the eyeshadows from Avon to review. I am going to be brutally honest here. The type of eyeshadows I use range from drug store brands to high end brands. Ive always had the problem of the eyeshadows fading or creasing due to my oily eye lids. Since I started using an eyeshadow primer, I don't have any more problems with creasing.

Now to discuss this product:
Packaging: Very sleek. Easy to just throw into the bag. Comes with a mirror and a sponge applicator (which I burn because I cannot stand them!)

Quality: The eyeshadow is very pigmented when swatching, but when I was applying it to the lid (with primer applied), the colour payoff was pretty weak. I had to pack on the teal to see the true colour. My recommendation would be to apply a base of a similar colour to help the teal to stand out. My biggest disappointment is that the teal would fade durring the day...

Application: to my dissapointment, I had difficulty applying the eyeshadow to my lid with a brush. While using a flat eyeshadow brush, there was lots of fallout and I had to pack on the teal colour to get the colour to show. When it came to blending, the colours faded and became dull. I had to go back and reapply more colour and thus more fall out.

Conclusion:
I see many other reviewers giving this product high ratings, but to me, it was an average quality of a drug store eyeshadow. I think that for the price you pay, it was for what you get.

Happy to recommend this product to anybody on a budget who is looking for a good quality product that has intense colour. They have options for every skin tone.

This eyeshadow quad caught my attention from the moment I saw it in the brochure.Then I decided if I was going to buy a new Eyeshadow Quad it would be this one.It has the most amazing and gorgeous shades of blue!If there was a book for this Eyeshadow I would call "4 shades of blue & 50 shades of sexy".
It really gives a beautiful and sexy look that compliments the natural colour of my eyes.I can also imagine it complimenting most skin colour and eye colours.

It comes with 4 different shades of blue

Number 1 being the lightest of the blues

Number 2 being the base colour(sky blue)

Number 3 is my absolute favorite as it has a shimmer to it.It almost look lilac,but it is actually a very mysterious shimmery light blue.

Number 4 being the darkest blue which also is very pretty and closes the smokey effect holding the look together.

Great product,best buy I've done in a long time.Not pricey at all compared to the value of the product.

Last long on your eyes and does not crease!

I have used Avon Jeans make up using no 1 to highlight and no 2 at the inner corner of my eye, using no 3 in the middle of my eyelid and no 4 to create a smokey effect at the outer corner and a bit outwards.

I was so happy to know that i received Avons duos i received the healthy glow (brown) and i love it! Its natural and shines perfect. Very nice for work. The colour adjust very well to the skin! The mirror is perfect size. Normally the mirrors in the make-up boxes are so small, but this is perfect! Love, love, love it!

I recieved this duo as part of the AVON product review campaign, I am so overwhelmed with this duo. It goes on silky smooth and stays put all day. No need to re-aplly. The colour compliments my skin tone and my eyes look so much brighter. The highlight and colour in one compact makes it so handy. The brush and mirror is all inclusive and makes this my new favourite product
