I really love my Avon products and always seem to get sucked into purchasing something from them every month, lol. The one item of theirs that I truly adore and always go back to buy is their French Manicure Set.
The set comes with two 12ml bottles of nail varnish- 1 white and 1 peachy, neutral hue and a strip of curved nail guides. The guides help in creating perfect and uniformed white tips. This set is all packed neatly into a black Avon box. There’s a divider in the middle of the box that separates the 2 nail varnish bottles, this also aids in keeping them up-right to avoid leakage.
The box is rectangular and black with white writing. The bottles are clear with a white twist-off lid. The box also contains a strip of white curved nail guides. The applicator brush is a broad and large in size, this allows for maximum coverage in one swipe.
The formula is smooth and non-streaky. It goes on easily and dries fairly quickly. The applicators stick well and don’t lift up or move whilst applying the white nail varnish. This is very helpful as it prevents time wastage on cleaning up messes once the strips are removed. The white polish needs two coats for optimal coverage and pure white colour. The peachy natural hue also needs to be applied twice to give it that salon French manicure look. The end results are flawless and shiny.
Nails look healthy, strong and glistening, all without a top coat. For such a large and diverse cosmetic company, this is one of my firm favourites from Avon. It definitely delivers in giving me a quick and easy to use system to achieving a professional manicure at home. The set often goes on special at Avon for R99.95 and gives approximately 40-45 applications. My mani, without a top coat lasted a week, not too long but for all the things I do in a week that’s impressive for my life-style.
