Avon Far Away Gold

It's a smell I had to adjust to.
I usually go for fruity or sweet smells.

The smell reminds me of old, or should I say a more mature smell... Definitely not for me.
The scent however stays on all day which was a plus. FYI, perfume is up but the bottle is cute and looks good by my perfume collection.

I received this as a gifted four years ago .. i must admit i was skeptic about this perfume, but in the end i fell inlove with this perfume. it smells so great on me. i still have my perfume bottle its just empty.

This is one of my favourite fragrances. The scent is not too over-powering and that's what I love about it.

I personally feel that this product is more for the older, mature woman.
It has quite a dominant fragrance.
If you don't like an oriental scent, I would not recommend this.

The packaging is really high quality and scent lasts a few hours.

The Avon Far Away Gold was my least favourite of the 3 that I received.

I wouldn’t ever go for a scent so overpowering. It was just too much for me.

I feel as though older women would love it as my mom does.

Avon came up on my radar about months ago, I was interested in seeing what they had to offer and my first catalogue happened to be promoting this beauty. The fragrance screamed at me with it's gorgeous gold packaging and delicious symphony of notes, so that was my first Avon purchase of 2015 (and has since started a perfume addiction).

Packaging: The bottle is very heavy duty, it has a lot of weight to it and feels very high end. I love that the bottle is opaque because that really helps maintain the integrity of the fragrance. The cap is good quality, it snaps on snugly and there's not much chance of it coming off if you decide to travel with it. I'm not the biggest fan of the tassel but I keep the bottle in the box anyway so no big deal really. The spray nozzle is of a good quality which is important as that's often an issue I have with fragrance. Cheaper bottles can have dodgy spray nozzles and break easily or leak out product - this has done neither.

Notes: This fragrance is described as an Oriental Floral and consists of the following: Top notes - ylang-ylang.Middle notes - jasmine.Base notes - vanilla & woods. Upon first contact with the skin this is very potent (in a good way), it has a heavy, rich sweetness that lingers for a few minutes. As it begins to dry down the heart of the fragrance comes out - delicate florals enveloped by the lingering sweetness of ylang-ylang and just a hint of woodiness as the scent continues to settle. And finally the base notes emerge and these are what you smell for the duration of your wear time. As the scent continues to lose it's floral attributes and that sweetness of the ylang-ylang, it then becomes a rich, full-bodied fragrance composed of sensual vanilla and musky woods. On me this scent continues to get better as the day progresses, reaching it's full potential after a good couple of hours as it's had time to really warm into my skin. This perfume, as with all Avon fragrances, lasts all day on me and even into the second day until I shower the next morning. It clings to clothes and hair and bedding, it's absolutely wonderful and smells so luxurious. If you are someone that adores warm scents then you should definitely try this one. It says limited edition but I believe it's still available and Avon are always having brilliant deals so you hardly ever have to pay full price. I think this is definitely one of my all time favourite scents, next to Giorgio Armani Si, it's truly glorious and sexy and feminine. Do recommend!

Tips: When applying perfume you should hit your pulse points - neck/behind the ears, inner arm near the elbows, wrists and behind the knees. When applying, spray about 15cm away from the skin and then dab, do not rub.

Using this fragrance has taught me how to break out f my shell & to try out things I normally do not go for.
I absolutely loved every drop of it!
It's a very mature & classy smell. You don't have to use much of it for it to stay on you & the design of the bottle is so unique (I like things that stand out and that are unique and this definitely fits in the correct category) I recommend this perfume to the lady that likes the mature musky smell & that would like receive a quality perfume that's affordable.

This was the least of my faves. It was absolutely long lasting and gave me a hint of the original Faraway with a little something extra, however I struggled to love it as much as my other 2. I did get compliments on it by people who like scents that are simultaneously rich and oriental.

I liked that this reminded me of the original far away fragrance but at the same time introduce me to another great additional scent.

I loved the scent. I would wear it as an everyday fragrance. It’s the kind that should be in your purse wherever you go.

An amazing fragrance that I've purchased on multiple occasions. Perfect for date nights or a girls night out. The scent is not overpowering and not overly sweet. I am a fan of oriental fragrances so this is a definite must on my list.

Bought this one on a whim and after using it for the first time I gave it away to my older cousin..she appreciates mature scents whilst I prefer young and vibrant ones ..I wouldn't say that I dislike it altogether,I'm just not a fan of Oriental fragrances.

I would like to give this fragrance a thumbs up for longevity though,it lasts and lasts ..

So if you like mature ,Oriental fragrances..this one's for you.

I'll be brutally honest and admit that I disliked this fragrance from the word go. Maybe it's because I disliked the bottle and therefore judged its' gold and black cover, or maybe it's because my first impression of the scent didn't sit quite well with me. However, all in all, by the end of my week of testing, this #AvonBeScentSational scent had grown on me. @avonsouthfrica Far Away Gold is meant for those mystical adventures out of the busy city. A combination of rich Moheli ylang, tantalizing Indian jasmine and hypnotic Madagascar vanilla, why wouldn't you want to pack this in your travel bag ?

it's such an elegant scent. Very mature. I would probably wear this to more formal events and not as an everyday. Of the three fragrances ( Today, tomorrow and Gold) Gold wasn't my favourite because I liked the floral scent of Today. but yes its still good

A very strong, yet sultry scent that lingers onto the skin and clothing all day long. I feel in love with this perfume as soon as I tried it!

The strong vanilla scent and jasmine really pull through in the perfume. There is no need to spritz this perfume on numerous times during the day. One spritz and it will stay on all day long!

AVON FARAWAY GOLD?

When I opened the box of this fragrance and I saw the bottle I didn't want to open it & start using it because it's so cute you just want to put it on a pedestal for display. I love the whole packing as well it's glamorous.

The scent is seductive, strong and rich. I feel like this fragrance is made for strong and independent women. It's a very sophisticated fragrance.
I wore it when I went out with my boyfriend, the beach and a Photoshoot. I enjoyed wearing it the most when I went out with my boyfriend because he likes the scent and for the Photoshoot because it's long lasting and i kept smelling it during the shoot. I usually wear floral scents but for this review I decided to challenge myself and try something different so I can give an honest first impression and not a review based on something that I'm used to. Also I've been seeing myself outgrow certain things and my personality shifting so #AvonBeSensational caught me at a good stage in my life where I'm embracing change and growing. With that being said I love this sophisticated fragrance. I haven't decided which one is my favorite yet so keep an eye on my next review to find out which one I liked the most.

The scent is the strongest tie to a memory sexy, sensual and seductive are the words that best describe this scent am currently have on. I have to be honest I find it very difficult to pick a perfect scent for me ...Some woman prefers to have one signature scent which I find very boring, your scent should match your current mood and how to feeling ...

This particular scent makes me feel very sexy with its, ylang-ylang, jasmine and vanilla & woods it's not hard to fall in love with this scent.

Juicy peach and luminous freesia mingled with Indian jasmine and finished with seductive sandalwood is a mood and I do highly recommend it.

I am loving this fragrance! Far Away Gold makes me feel like I'm in the middle of an Arabian adventure with its oriental floral notes. It's rich and filled with opulent promises. The fragrance makes me feel like a fearless Arabian princess and gives me that little extra confidence boost. I didn't know a fragrance could make me want to take control of my life and really flaunt my stuff until I tried Avon far away gold. I really loved this fragrance it has a smooth, bold smell but it's not over powering. I would wear this to work or on a dinner date, a formal occasion.

This is my favorite out the scents that I have received. This is a really creamy scent and perfect for a date night. Longevity is amazing and it projects very well, it is not an overwhelming scent. I would definitely say that this is not a scent for teenagers and I would mostly wear this in cooler seasons as it is a very warm and yummy scent. I would definitely give this one a go if you're looking for a warm and sexy scent.

This is my second favorite perfume out of the 3 Avon perfumes I’ve received. It’s a good size bottle (travel-friendly). The fragrance is amazing, a flowery fresh yet sexy scent. I just love it! Highly recommend?
