I bought this to get volume in my fringe when I still had it, and I have silky fine hair. It works wonderfully, and is useful when I want to work it more through the rest of my hair. However, this works best on my hair when I am using it for the fringe for anywhere else - that is not the comb's fault, but my hair (it never holds anything). The comb is easy to use and does not make me cringe, as though my hair is splitting, and being soft bristles, it is really nice to use to smooth down the top of the piece of hair that has been teased. Worth it, too, at such a low price.

I love the whole Jersey Shore height of poofiness and so made the decision to purchase the back-comb brush from Avon which retailed at R25.95 on special in the November Brochure.
The brush is used to tease hair to create the look of volume and fullness. This I desperately need as my hair is so fine and thin. The brush is very “different” looking but definitely delivers results.
It comes packaged in a clear plastic packet with black writing printed all over it. The brush itself is full black with Avon Techniques in white along the back. This gives the brush a very modern, minimal style that will always look neat and on trend. A leaflet is included, which honestly doesn’t offer any help and has too many different languages to even concentrate when reading it.
The brush handle feels mazing and has a velvety smooth matte finish to it. The handle is long and thin which makes manoeuvring it through hair at the back of your head very easy. At the base of the bristles the handle has two indents, which naturally fit to your fingers, holding the brush here gives you the ultimate control whilst teasing hair. The bristles are black and very hard/stiff. This doesn’t hurt or cause dis-comfort. It gently teases hair to your required level of volume, I did find my hair become more noughted than pouf’d but once I used a wide-tooth comb to calm the mayhem down all was well.
Im loving the over-all results achieve from using this back-comb and am over-the-moon hppy I made the purchase; an essential tool to get my jerseylicious side out ;)
