SOiL {Organic Bodycare}

SOiL is a certified organic range of aromatherapy and body products. I love using a balance between Organic products and “normal” products from time to time. This was the first I’ve ever heard or seen this brand so I was quite excited to dig into it and try it out. First off let me comment on the packaging. I instantly fell in love with this packaging. Its really girly and eye catching right? One thing I hate about bath and body products, are stickers as labeling. Things tend to get really messy when you go into the shower with your bottles and the stickers gets wet. (P.s this looks gorgeous in the shower, on my dresser and even in the toilet for when guests visits). The first thing I used was the Sensual Hibiscus Bodywash. It took me a bit of time getting used to the smell. It still makes my nose very itchy but with some Allergex, I’m all good. This doesn’t foam up alot and leaves your skin feeling silky soft. The scent stays on your skin all day and its perfect to relax you after a long day. My second product is the Sensual Body Lotion. I prefer this over the body wash. It doesn’t irritate my nose at all and its extremely moisturizing. This is like liquid silk being applied to your body. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily or heavy at all. I also use this as a hand lotion/cream because it soothes all those dry areas. All in all. I’m not sure if Ill use the body wash again but Ill definitely use the body lotion. I’m pretty sure that NOT everybody would experience the whole allergies thing like I did, therefore I would encourage you to try it for yourself.

Rain Africa – 100% Luxury Artisan Soap

The amazing darlings over at Rain sent me a beautifully wrapped set of 3 Artisan Soaps that I had the pleasure of using. Now with my past experience of using Rain products, I had high expectations and my experience was nothing short of this. At R39 a bar, I think that you get value for your money. Its big and would last you quite long. Each soap bar is jam packed with natural products and essential oils which is amazing for the skin. The soap itself is very gentle on the skin and doesn't cause any irritation on ones skin which is perfect for people with sensitive skin. I also loved that it cleans my skin really well, leaving it soft and moisturising. The subtle scent of the soap is one of my fave things about it. How awesome wouldn’t it be if these soaps had a little pattern on? I’d love them even more! The packaging is also made from recycled materials, which is a brand+ in my books. Thank You Rain Africa for the amazing soaps. If you’d like to purchase it and/or other goodies, you can pop in to your closest rain store or shop it online at rainafrica.com .

Adidas Pure Lightness

I’m pretty sure everybody loves perfume, but with a good quality perfume comes a hefty price tag. I’ve been through many bottles of perfumes from both budget and higher end brands but one of my all time faves are Adidas Pure Lightness for women. I never go for these type of fragrances but for some reason this one just drew me in from the first smell. The name of this eau de toilette says it all. It has a clean, light and fresh smell to it. To me this perfume is extremely underrated, I think people underestimate it because its so affordable and from Adidas. In this perfume the top notes are [melon and red apple. Middle notes are jasmine, magnolia, violet and lily-of-the-valley and the base note is musk.] If I could compare it closest to any fragrance, I’d say that it smells similar to the DKNY Be Delicious perfume. The staying power of this perfume is AH-MAZING! I could smell it on myself all day and two days later when I wore the same scarf, I didn’t have to spritz it again. I bought Adidas Pur Lightness from Edgars but it was the last one on the shelf so I had to settle for the 30ml bottle. I would’ve liked the bigger bottle but this one as a great handbag sized bottle. I also love that the cap of this bottle stays solidly fit on it all day. With most perfumes you find that the top comes off and for someone like me that carries gum around, (Even though I’m not chewing it now) nothing is worse than gum that tastes like perfume. I paid R149.95 for a 30ml a few weeks ago but the current price is R159.95. This is the perfect lightweight perfume for spring/summer and if you would like to purchase it, you can pop in to your closest Edgars store. I’m sure your other stores like Foschini would sell it too.

Bath and body works body wash

One of the brands that I’ve been dying to try ever since I started reading international blogs and discovered the art of Youtube, is Bath and Body Works. Now South Africa is always the last to jump on the gravy train so having family on the other side of the world has its perks. My fave international bloggers and Youtubers always mentioned how much they love Bath And Body Works and now I can understand why. The Japanese Cherry Blossom shower gel was one of my winter lifesavers and its definitely going to be my spring/summer bestie too. I’ve been using it for weeks and even doubled it up as a hand wash. A little product goes a long way and the scent lingers on your skin for hours. I love that the scent is long lasting but not very overpowering. I find that it works best with a mesh sponge. One drop on your soaked mesh sponge is enough to cover your entire body with some soap action. This shower gel is also jam packed with Shea Butter for softer, cleaner skin, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. This floral scent smells like spring captured in a bottle with Asian Pear, Fuji Apple and Ume Plum as your top notes and Japanese Cherry Blossom, Butterfly Lily, Kyoto Rose, Mimosa Petals as your middle notes.
