I was so excited when I received the message saying that I'd been chosen to review Toni & Guy's new products. I hadn't tried the brand before, so this was the perfect opportunity to find out if I'd be making some changes to my hair care shopping list.
Here's what I received:
Cleanse shampoo for damaged hair
Nourish conditioner for damaged hair
Leave in conditioner - Manageability & Frizz Comtrol
Classic shine gloss serum - Brilliant Finish (sadly something went wrong on the way here, and every bit of the serum leaked out, so no review.)
I was so happy to receive these lovely products, I used them the same evening. The packaging is very sleek and modern. The shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner come in white bottles, and the serum is in a grey bottle. I love the simplicity of the bottles.
All 3 products have a nice smell too, not my favorite scent in the world, but not unpleasant either. The shampoo makes a nice, rich lather, without having to use very much of it. It wasn't strong or harsh, and didn't irritate my scalp. I was impressed at how clean and fresh my scalp and hair felt.
The conditioner is fabulous. Once I applied it to my hair, my hair felt so soft, and I was able to easily work my fingers through my hair to get rid of tangles.
I followed up with the leave in conditioner, and this added to the lovely soft feel of my hair. After a blowdry and flat iron, It looked shiny and the frizz had run away. Sometimes, especially when you use a leave in conditioner, it can make your hair oily or greasy after a day. The great thing about these products is that my hair still looked really good 2 days later.
My usual salon appointment was on the third day, and I decided to take my Toni & Guy beauties with. When I asked the lady who washes my hair for her opinion, after she'd washed it, her response was a very positive one - "I like it a lot, it's making your hair very soft!" My hairdresser used the leave in conditioner before blowdrying my hair, and said that I should "keep using the stuff, because its fabulous!" Professional approval! :)
My final verdict? I'm now officially a Toni & Guy fan, and will be popping in to Clicks soon for the large shampoo and conditioner, and perhaps also the serum that was so tragically lost.

The tony and guy shapoo and conditioner for damaged hair is a good product. I loved the smell of the product before even applying it. After the first wash I could feel the difference. My hair feels smooth and smells great. The only negatives I have is about the bottle and that there is no directions on how to use it or how much must be applied. My hair is also very oily after every wash and no matter how much I use it still stays oily.
The tony and guy sea salt and texturising spray is not a good product for my hair. The spray promise to give body or tassled hair which in my case afer following the directions was a flop. My hair is very fine and super straight and I still haven't found a product that can give me body. No matter what I tried my hair kept on falling flat. It might be because I don't really know what I'm doing or it might be because I'm not using the recommended shampoo and conditioner.

I'm simply blown away by these two products. My hair feels as if its received a spa treatment after using them. The scent is wonderful. The products themselves are thick, rich and creamy. A heaven sent for dry damaged hair. I will definitely be purchasing these products in future.

The first time I use the Cleanse product, I could feel my scalp was clean...it felt refreshed and my hair was such a vibrant and rich jet black colour. The shampoo itself is an opaque white colour. Smells so divine. It feels silky, is very foamy and what a great job it does of getting your hair super clean.
The conditioner is a white colour and smells just as fresh as the shampoo. It nourishes the hair from root to tips and adds in those good-for-your-hair nutrients lost through styling and styling products, hair-drying and shampooing. It is moisturising and doesn't leave an oily film after rinsing out.
One of the things I was disappointed with was the opening of the shampoo (as well as the conditioner. The bottle openings don't really allow for control of how much product one uses. And because the contents are so thick in consistency, the product tends to blob out. It would have been useful if the opening was narrowed a bit or had a squeeze through nozzle to help with control.
Another thing that annoyed me a tad, was the fact that the bottle are EXACTLY the same. Meaning you would have to actually pick up the bottle and read which is the conditioner and which is the shampoo. Kind of irritating if you are in the shower, you've just shampooed your hair, you need to condition, and you first have to see which is which. But of course, this is merely a personal preference.
