A familiar product- TOOTHPASTE, but with an un-conventional feel- Gel! This was strange, unexpected and new, so obviously I was compelled to give it a try.
It’s a very unique taste and feel experience that has me on the fence. At one hand, I love the lightness of the formula but then do not like the results or texture.
The box is the normal white rectangular box with aqua-marine writing and the red COLGATE logo as well as the gold TOTAL logo. The one side has all the ingredients and instructions for use. The tube is white and 75ml. It’s larger than the typical toothpaste tubes and the cap and nozzle is much larger too. The jumbo size of the tube makes holding the tube and the applying of the toothpaste easier.
The Toothpaste is not even a paste but a gel. The gel is aqua/green in colour and very gummy in consistency. The tube needs to be squeezed quite harder to push the gel out. The gel goes onto your toothbrush easily. It isn’t weak or watery and so stays onto the toothbrush.
Once being used, the consistency is very gummy and feels a bit “odd”, this could be that I’m not used to the feeling of the gel. I found that the gel formula doesn’t thoroughly clean teeth and my mouth wasn’t left with that fresh minty after-taste. The gel has no scent. It feels like the fluoride put onto your teeth when visiting the Dentist. Even after gargling with water, my teeth felt like it hadn’t been brushed.
