I cannot fault this lippie. Love the colour, because it is the pefect mauvy nude.
Where Velvet Teddy is more on the brown side, this is more on the pink spectrum.
They both apply and perform very similar. This is also a shade that suits a variety of skin tones and it can be worn all year long.
It is definitely one of my top 5 MAC lipstick shades and I refuse to ever be without it.

When you have dark skin like I do, it gets difficult to wear nudes without your lips looking too brown and hungry.
The formula goes on creamy and dries up but not too matte. Make sure your lips are nicely exfoliated before application (a sugar scrub might help) or the lipstick will fall into the lip cracks and that is not attractive.
The lipstick can be paired and blended with a dark brown lip liner for a "no make up" look or with a pinkish brown lip liner (SOAR by MAC) for a more bold colour.
I have seen this shade on many different skin tones and it looks great on most of them.
I love it for those days when I don't want to look like I'm wearing much make up.

I bought Twig after reading and hearing soo many awesome reviews on the perfect nude, etc, but I don't really find it to be nude at all. It's more of a brownish-pink, but still pink enough to be pretty and feminine. It adds colour to the face without being overpowering. It is a little drying if you don't use a balm, but it glides on very smoothly and lasts about 4-5 hours before you need a touch-up. I really like the packaging and the only downside to this product is the price.

Twig is best described as a brownish pink but the brown is very subtle. I used this lipstick in my last no mirror make up video (http://www.beautybulletin.com/videos/makeup/no-mirror-makeup-4-amina-parker).
On me its a lot brighter because my skin is dark so it stands out a lot but on someone more fair it would be a very muted pink, almost nude color.
It has a satin finish so it is really creamy on your lips. I do have to constantly reapply though since it does not have a matte finish, it transfers onto coffee cups or just disappears as the day goes. I do not mind though since mac lipsticks lasts me ages and its a beautiful color.
Its one of those shades that can suit everyone because it is very natural but has a slight pink tint.
I paid R180 for this lipstick and I definitely would repurchase it.
