Fantastic all round product, but I do prefer to use a quick dry formula as a top coat.

I love products that have multiple uses, especially when you have a huge nail polish collection and an every declining storage space for them. The Essie 3-way Glaze is a base coat, nail strengthener and top coat all in one beautiful bottle. One thing I have come to realise with Essie is that the price tag is indicative of the quality of the product and the obvious research that goes into creating such wonderful products.

My experience has been that as a base coat it protects my nails nicely from being discoloured, unlike other nail polish brands. I've only been using it for 2 weeks but I can feel that my nails are a little bit harder so the strengthening capabilities are noticeable and as a top coat it adds a beautiful amount of shine to nails and protects the polish very well. I have gone 4 days without a chip going about my day as usual - it was only when my nail got caught in a towel dispenser that it took the nail polish off - but I don't think there is any nail polish on the market that could withstand that. My nail hardly made it out alive so I was lucky to have walked away with my nail intact and only lose a bit of nail polish.

At R109 this is a great buy because buying a base coat, nail strengthener and top coat would definitely cost a lot more and probably not last nearly as long.
