i love these pots of paints and have three of them. They are great for evryday use and last even longer if used over a primer. the colors are quite pigmented and are great swept over the whole eyelid and light shades can be used as highlighter.
Kerri totally agree with you about taking them out of bottle conveniently is a problem and if not careful they are prone to spillage. i read someones nifty advice about decanting a little product in those pill boxes that we get and then its quite easy to use.

I treated myself to The Nyx Walnut Pearl loose pigment while in Clicks the other day.
I was really excited when Clicks started stocking Nyx quite a few of their products already. I love their single blush and their eye trios are awesome! However, I am not afraid to admit that loose pigments have always intimidated the hell out of me.
I decide to start small and bought The Walnut Pearl loose pigment - a delicious toasty brown shade which I envisioned doing a smokey eye with.
The packaging is cute, the price is quite reasonable - R45 - and the payoff is amazing. That is, of course, if can get the stuff out of the bottle! Eventually I had to grab a small brush and stick is right into the bottle to get some out and I was terrified of spilling the powder all over my hands and dresser.
Despite that whole debacle I was really happy with the outcome. The colour is gorgeous. Warm and shimmery and slightly iridescent. It blends easily and can look really natural as well as really intense. I just have to rethink how to put powder on a brush.

The jar is really tiny and it is impossible to dip a brush into it. Even if you have a narrow enough brush, it is hard to control how much pigment you get on it. Since the colour of these is super intense it is better to be able to control the amount. Thanks to someone's advice online, I purchased a Clicks 7 day pill distributor for only R15. Each jar's content fits pefectly into each pill compartment so now I can collect 7 different pigments in one compact. Love the convenience! The powder is now easily accessible with a flip of a lid wihout any spillage.
The quality of these pigments is simply amazing. You need so little. The powder is very blendable and stretchable without losing its intensity. It also lasts and doesn't crease at all. I would still recommend to use an eye shadow base - it just makes it a lot easier to stick to your lid without too much fallout. I will say that Walnut looks a bit too dark on my fair skin. It is a dark bronzy brown with a bit of black in it. It has gorgeous shimmer. I think this would work amazing for night makeup for me! It will look stunning on medium and dark skins!
Overall the quality is really superb. I will definitely look out for more shades. Even though the amount is small it really lasts and is worth every penny.

These loose eye shadow pigments are simply amazing. I have a quick tip for using these pigments without making a huge mess, before opening the vial gentle tap the base on a flat surface. This will cause the powder to settle and prevent spillage. Walnut pearl is a deep brown base colour packed with coppery-bronze shimmer. As with all pigments there's a little fallout but you can minimize it by using a patting motion or a damp brush. When used wet the pigment look like liquid metal and makes for a fantastic dramatic look. I love to use this as a lid colour when doing a brown smokey eye. I would really like to get Mink, Baby pink and Iced Mocha next.
