The Benefit “Girl Meets Pearl” is a beautiful soft-golden pink liquid highlighter that is use to give the face a radiant, luminous complexion. It comes in a cute, pink chrome roller type of packaging that you twist to release the product. You can use this product alone, or over makeup for that “lit-from-within” glow.

Not bad for my first Benefit product. Although I do find that it isn't very longlasting and not the easiest to blend onto the skin. Not bad at all though and is still really good for a subtle daytime highlight.

Found that the product spreads too easily so not easy to highlight definite areas. And gives a streaky appearance once dry. So overall not great from my side.

I love highlighters because it gives your face dimension and it helps highlight and bring out certain features. I’ve used both “High Beam” and “Girl Meets Pearl” from Benefit and I love both products. In my opinion, the “Girl Meets Pearl” is more subtle than “High Beam”. They both a similar golden pink colour, but “High Beam” has a slightly cooler tone and is more visible. I love wearing “Girl Meets Pearl” during the day, when I want a more subtle highlight.
I use it almost every day for work because I use a matte foundation, and this highlighter makes my makeup look more natural and radiant. I prefer using it over my foundation because it is more visible that way, and I apply a very small amount to my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and above my cupids bow. Although it is subtle, it really makes a difference to how your makeup looks.
Overall, I love this product. I don’t think it is a complete necessity if you compare it to foundation and mascara, but it is a really “great-to-have” product because it makes a huge difference to how your complexion looks. In my opinion, this product would look great on all skin tones and especially on darker skin tones as it will be more visible. I bought this product as part of a collection I purchased from Benefit, so I’m not sure of how much it costs individually. Judging on the previous Benefit products I’ve purchased, I would say it would cost between R280-R320.
