A moisturizing lip care product that gently exfoliates the lips to help remove dead skin cells, leaving the lips feeling smooth, soft and conditioned. How to use it: To keep your lips kissably soft, apply Lip Scruff and rub lips together before removing residue with a tissue. Use once or twice a week, or as required. Keep your Lip Scruff clean by wiping the surface with a tissue, directly after each use. Gently exfoliate lips with Lip Scruff to remove dry skin before applying Lip Care to moisturize.

I have been contemplating whether I should buy this product for a while now. I am a fan of matte lipsticks and stay all day lipsticks which usually shows every crack and chapped area on your lips. So I am always exfoliating my lips. I have tried a home made remedy, the lush scrub and one from ester lauder at different stages of my life. What put me off from this was that it is R90 and looks like it won't last very long. I ended up buying this when TBS had a 20% off sale and paid R72.
The packaging is quite nice. It looks like a lipstick and has a reflective canister. The scrub is also in the form of a lipstick which is nice because all lip exfoliaters i have used in the past you apply with your fingers.
The product itself smells very minty. I am not a fan of products that smell like mint but I thought I'd give it a chance. The first time I applied it to my lips, i felt like it wasn't getting exfoliated at all. So I applied a few more layers and used more pressure and eventually started feeling the exfoliating particles. i then rubbed my lips together to spread the particles even further. I then took a cotton pad and wiped away the scrub. My lips were left feeling soft and I could see they looked smoother. My lips felt quite moisturized too, which is always a plus. I found that with other scrubs I always had to apply a lip balm afterwards. I then applied my Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick and it looked absolutely stunning. I didn't not have to worry about tiny pieces of skin peeling or anything.
I love this product and I definitely will repurchase it. Another deciding factor for me though would be how much use I get out of it.

I bought the lip scuff out of curiosity and because I am a sucker for TBS products.
The product come in a lipstick tube that is beautifully packages (as all TBS products are) I just hate the placement of the price sticker over the perforation which made it a mission to pull off the plastic and destroyed my nail polish. I had a look at all the lipsticks and lip scuffs and it seems that is simply just where they choose to place stickers (rather annoying). Anyway, once opened you can smell a peppermint scent from the lip scuff and I was happy about that because I didn't know what to expect.
I didn't know how to use this product at all and because at the time I didn't think to ask the assistant at the store, I had to figure this out for myself. It is applied the same way as a lip balm and at first it does feel as if there aren't any exfoliating particles but as soon as you "break through" the outside barrier of balm you hit the exfoliant and can really feel it on your lips. I move it back and forth on my lips (as you normally do with a lip balm) on both my bottom and tops lips then rubbed them together to finish off the exfoliation. I then used some cotton wool pads to brush the particles off my lips. The peppermint leaves the lips with a tingling effect which makes them feel refreshed. The scuff is enriched with marula oil which leaves your lips well moisturised and there is no need to apply another product to your lips afterwards. I apply this twice a week and have noticed a difference in the appearance and texture of my lips. They are smoother and there are fewer deep lines on them.
At R80 it is quite expensive and I think there are much cheaper and just as effective ways of exfoliating your lips. However this is very convenient and easy to use. I am not certain if I definitely will buy another one but it's something that I probably will reach for while I am at the store because it's a novelty to have and use. TBS is good at coming up with these kinds of products that pull you in and then you are hooked, whether you like to admit it or not.
