Let’s bring Old school Hollywood style back with a twist, here is how you can get the hairstyle.

I have always loved old school Hollywood glamorous hair styles but this is defiantly one of my absolute favorites, who could not resist and love having stunning finger waves for summer this luscious look is so hot right now and very different so let’s do a bit of a time warp and spice up this old school vintage 1920s & 1930s look up.

This look is so super sleek and gorgeous I love it! Back in the day these wave were developed, as a way of softening the hard appearance of the fashionable bob of the flapper period but is now used to create stunning waves on any length hair.

Finger Waves and Marcel Waves look very similar, with only one slight real difference being the way in which they are achieved, I like to combine both concepts depending on what look you are going for. It’s always important to rock this style your own way, be creative be unique.

This to me is an absolute must-have trend, soft waves are bigger and sexier than ever and waiting for you to try them out.

Let’s get started on your vintage vixen hair style-

Wash your hair as you normally would. Then wait about 10 to 15 minutes, until the hair is wet but no longer dripping if you have very thick locks use a towel to dry off your hair so it’s easier to manage.

Part your hair to the side left or right depending on your parting and desired look.

Apply a generous coat of gel and comb it throughout your hair.

Place your middle finger across your hair, next to the part. Your fingertip should be touching the top of your forehead. Remember to do this slowly and take your time.

Press the comb against the side of your fingers; Drag the comb’s teeth through a 2 Centre meter section of hair sideways along your fingers. You should see a wave beginning to form with the movement of an S SHAPE.

Place the comb slowly flat against your scalp without lifting the comb from the hair.

Use your index finger next to your middle finger. Close the two fingers together and apply pressure to the head in order to form a ridge.

Drag the comb through your hair again but in the opposite direction than before. At this point the ridge should be visible and a wave should be running through your hair.

Create another wave, a few Centre meters away from the first wave depending on how far apart you what them. Continue to do so until the waves are running across your head continue to mould the longer length of your hair with your hands.

Once you are done leave the hair to dry naturally-if you want a quicker step then slowly add heat by facing your hairdryer downwards on a slow hot heat level. When your hair is dry leave it for about an hour or so, gently comb through the waves once they have dried.

Mist your hair with a holding spray to set the style. You can use any Hair Spray that you have at home and go spray crazy it works like a charm.
