An easy application guide for you to achieve top class results from any makeup mascara!
1. Firstly get rid of clumps by removing excess mascara from your mascara wand. Use a tissue and wipe the mascara formula off the wand; this eliminates blobs BEFORE you start. Make sure to not remove too much as you need the formula to wrap around your lashes!
2. Now coat the top of your lashes with mascara. Do this by rolling the brush through the lashes so as to ensure they are not clumped and that you cover each lash. Once you have done this move quickly onto step three. This is vital as the formula of the mascara can weigh the lashes down and make it difficult to get that perfect eyelash frame!
3. Apply the mascara to the top lashes from below and right at their base – make sure you wiggle your brush from left to right as you pull it through the lashes separating them. It’s the mascara placed near the roots (and not the tips) in this step that gives the illusion of length and frames these magnificent windows to your soul!
If done correctly, using the wiggling technique after coating the top of the lashes – you will have no need for eyelash curlers or fake lashes as this is an easy and natural way to emphasise and lengthen your lashes.
When choosing a mascara try to be realistic – even though the cheaper mascaras tend to be clumpier and thicker – not many people will notice the difference between a cheap brand and an exclusive brand….and to be honest often neither would you!
I use different mascaras all the time as I like to test different formulas and different brands, at any given time I have about 6 mascaras in my kit ranging from the cheapest of the cheap and some imported ones that are not even available in S.A. The truth is that sometimes there is not much difference between these other than the packaging.
I love maybellines green and pink packaged mascara an affordable favorite amongst all makeup artists!
Saying all of this there really are some brands that are simply incredible and cannot be beaten (like Lancôme cosmetics)and they are 100% totally worth the extra dosh…my point is that you just decide for yourself and buy according to your bracket of affordability and need and don’t get sucked in by false advertising! After all using those three easy makeup tips I believe I can get any mascara to work for me!
