What is the kitten flick?

Designed to draw attention to the eyes and define the lash line, the kitten flick features a thinner line than the cat eye, ending in a little flick at the end. Follow the tips below to get the look!

Creating the perfect feline flick!

Step 1: Start drawing a thin line across your eyelid with a pencil eyeliner.

Step 2: Draw the liner in an upward flick from the outer corner of your eye, ending parallel to the outer-corner of your eyebrow. Try MAC Kohl Eye Pencil or Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil.

Step 3: Trace along the pencil line with a liquid or gel liner to give the line more depth and staying power. This also helps to give the line a shiny finish. Try Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Liner or Avon Perfect Wear Liquid Eyeliner.

Step 4: Follow up with lashings of mascara for that wide-eyed innocent look.

Jazzing it up
Add a playful touch to the look by trying fun colourful shades like green or purple instead of black. For maximum emphasis on the flick you can try sticking a few individual eyelashes to the outer corners of your eyes.

Makeup to compliment the look
Neutral or natural-looking blush applied in a backwards C and up towards your temple to draw attention to your eyes. If you want to make a fun statement opt for a colourful and bright lip.
