Labello Lipcare – Pearl & Shine

The Labello Pearl & Shine comes in a conventional chapstick packaging. The tube itself is in the same pink, pearlescent colour and the product smells nice. The Pearl & Shine range is slightly more expensive than the other lipcare products, at around R24.95 rather than R16.95.

I love Labello products! This isn't one of them.this product leaves my lips looking shiny and gives it a horrible colour! It actually gives them a silver look which I hate.

I totally agree with Chloe - this is definitely not one to use if you are very pale! It made me look very wan and sickly and I didnt enjoy the cakey feeling on my lips. It gives lips a pearly look, but it doesnt actually make them shine and doesnt hydrate them either... not a great buy in my book.

I bought this product because most of my frens wer ranting and raving about the new labello. and for me personally it was a no. i thort that labello would offer moisture and a bit of shine at the same time, my lips are prone to dryness. Plus it would be a double bargain because it would be lipcolour plus lipbalm at the same time. well for me, it went wrong in both directions. The colour made me look like i was wearing eyeshadow on my lips and the stick did not offer any moisturizing or softening benefits to my dried out lips.
In the labello range i would rather stick with the classic care and use my usual lipgloss colour...

I’ve used this product for quite some time now, and to be honest, I still can’t figure out whether I like or dislike this product. Till now, my opinions are quite mixed. My mom actually gave this product to me because she had bought it for herself but hated how it made her lips look pale. I tried it and it did in fact wash out your lips. It’s nice for those who are wearing makeup and intend on using this product to wash out your lips for that nude look, but for those who don’t wear makeup, this could make you look a bit under the weather.
If you have dry lips, it does tend to emphasise the dry bits and make your lips appear a bit cakey. I find that this kind of contradicts the fact that it’s a lip balm, because I always avoid using it when my lips are dry.
Although the packaging says “Pearl & Shine” the product is not shiny at all. It gives off a pale, pearlescent colour but it’s in no way shiny.
