It says on the bottle that you feel a tingly feeling on your skin, however I did not experience any tingling sensation. The product is best used with a sponge of some sort and they even recommend it on the bottle. The product is very soft on your skin and your skin is left feeling cool and soft. Great packaging with a very 'nifty' lid that is split in half and when you press down one half the other half pops up and the pouring hole appears.
