Powder is one of the most important parts of a woman’s makeup look. After applying your foundation, blush and everything else, you need to seal it all with powder.

Below are a few tips to keep in mind when buying your powder, and to help you find your perfect powder faster:

• Experiment with what you have – A bit of mixing and matching of one powder that’s too light with one that’s too dark could help you find the perfect combination.
• Do not use your hand to test a powder – Most ethnic women’s face tone is different to the rest of their body’s. Usually your hands are lighter than your face’s skin, which means you are likely to choose the wrong powder colour.

• Blend in the powder well – Look out for lines on your hairline and jaw line to make sure it has been blended in properly. This should not be a rushed job as you need to make sure the look is completely flawless.
• Use a magnifying mirror – This will give you a close-up look of how you are doing while applying the powder. Also, a well-lit room will help to ensure a natural looking flawless finish.
