I absolutely adore this eyeshadow compact! It is perfectly pretty for Summer and the colours would suit a lot of skin tones. Of the colours, I found the taupe and the dark violet to be the most useful. The taupe is excellent for contouring and the dark violet is perfect as a liner. The pink works as a highlighter, but is not as highly pigmented as the other two and fades the quickest. I tried very hard to swatch these shades, but unfortunately they wouldn't come out with my camera ( the colours looked all wrong!).
The shadows glide on easily and blend beautifully too. I would recommend that you do use a primer underneath as I found them to crease and fade towards the end of the day without, despite the claim that they are long-lasting. This is a very small price to pay for such gorgeous shades though.
This palette is very easy to use and you can go from subtle during the day to smoky and romantic for your date night, without a hitch. I did find their claims that the metallic and shimmer shades would look great even on fine lines to be true. I have a few little fine lines that were cleverly disguised when using these shades ( or at least not emphasised!)
